Workers were very friendly. Order was ready on time and the lady gave me lots of shrimp sauce! Rating is solely based on sushi.... The Mt. Fuji had fish that was tough and a weird after taste. They were large fried pieces and I felt like they were fried toolong. Did not like the Pink Lady roll, if you don't like lemon I would not suggest it. It wasnt the lemon that threw me off butit didnt balance well with the roll and other ingredients. The Dynamite Roll was tasty, similar to other places I've tried. TheSpicy Volcano was also pretty good. Spring rolls were great and the lo mein was good. Overall, I've had better sushi and if Iwent here again would opt to try hibachi or other plates. Read more
We have eaten at Kimbe multiple times and it's always good. We usually get the Bento box special, which is a good value and has... always been delicious. I usually get the Mongolian beef on mine and it's spicy enough but not so much you can't feel your face. Wife has been getting the chicken teriyaki and likes it. The sushi has been good as well. I would recommend Kimbe Bistro for all types of Asian Dishes. Wonderful family owned business. Wonderful Ramen , Sushi... offerings, Asian dishes with a Kimbe Bistro's fusion style. We have ordered every type of dish from Salads to cook to order. The Kimbe Ramen is the best Asian type of soup I have ever had, I order quite often and very consistent. The family ownedbusiness of wonderful people that offer a very warm welcoming. The spicy dishes are my favorites, my one daughter is a veganthey make her wonderful dishes. I spent a good bit of time conducting research in determining which sushi restaurant in Jax to try. This one seemed to be my... best bet. I was right. I ordered three sushi rolls and a seaweed salad. All were superb! Everything was so tasty, especially themango roll. The presentation was nice, too! I ordered my food via takeout, but the person who took care of me when I walked inwas so delightful and friendly! If you?re looking for a great sushi place in Jax, give this business a shot! Happy that Kimbe is not far from home. Great place to pop in if you're in the mood for Japanese. They offer a good variety of... lunch specials from hibachi, bento boxes and sushi roll specials. I tried the salmon hibachi bento box and it was yummy as wellas the California rolls and spring roll that came with it. My son tried the steak hibachi and really liked the miso soup.
