Too much sauce in my opinion. Chicken was cooked too long and partially dry. The ribs have improved. However, there wasn't any... rub flavor on the meat. The barbeque sauce can not and will not substitute for a good meat rub. Read more

Ordered the rib sandwich with mild sauce and pink lemonade. Wanted corn nuggets and fruit punch, but they didn't have any. Ribs,... had no seasoning. Sauce, had no flavor and the consistency of aus jus. Ribs, were tough. Tasted like microwave heated,leftovers. New Kings location. Food service workers are not wearing gloves. Saw a female worker wipe her hands on her buttcheek, instead of the front of her apron. SMH. Overall feeling of customer service? They were just, there. Doing a job anddidn't care about the quality of the food or service. Tried the sweet sauce, also. Store bought Carolina, tastes better. Pinklemonade had a weird, sweet and sour taste. I grew up with Jenkins barbecue. However this was my first time back in over a decade. Positive is the ribs still have the... same great taste/sauce. The negatives were the customer service at the Edgewood location doesn't present a very positive vibe. Most places especially barbecue and seafood places usually try to emit that down home, neighborly, welcoming atmosphere totheir customers. But this location failed at that miserably. Also I ordered my food online and after they threw the bag at meand I left I realized after I got home they did not provide me with the two orders of fries that I paid for. I'm not sure howyou mess up an order that's presented to you online because everything is written and easily readable but again somehow theymanage to pull that off. My family and I visited yesterday and ordered a slab of ribs, 2 whole chicken sandwiches and a rib sandwich. This is over $50 in... food that was dry from being overcooked. Also, the food had no taste. We are not from the area now but my folks grew up in thearea and have purchased food from your establishment for many years. They have also brought new customers to enjoy Jenkins. Weare supporters of black businesses however I must state that returning to your restaurant will be a challenge. Jenkins quality BBQ establishment is a wonderful black owned establishment. The food was great and always has been every time... I've been. This has been decades of great quality barbecue with a sauce to die for. I actually purchased two bottles of theirJenkins barbecue sauce. Prices are great for what you're receiving. Customer service is magnificent. When it comes to somesouthern barbecue, Jenkins quality BBQ is the place to be. A hood famous establishment. Read more

I hate when black owned restaurants like to promote black owned business and they have poor quality. The food is hit or miss.... They always have the worst employees lacks diversity. As a black owned business we expect better service from an establishmentwho?s been around since 1950s in still doesn?t seem to know how to run this business well the management should be ashamed ofthey?re self.
