I love eating at Ida Claire's! You step in the building and you're immersed in this cool & eclectic ambiance that you can't help... but to be amazed with. I have never had bad service here - all of the wait staff is extremely knowledgeable and super friendlyand attentive. I’ve never been here. I looked at pictures and reviews because I’ve never heard of this place. Knew right away with just a... few pictures that it’s southern comfort food. DON’T LET THAT STOP YOU. We ordered the seasoned French Toast and the Quiche.My tastebuds were alive and happy. Hands down the best Quiche I have ever had. Delicious ???? Not overly salty but just theright amount. Love the ambiance. So many things to see. Alot of wonderful unique things to see. Like the several hands holding things, cages... decors, plates and even the bathroom is unique. They also have a huge Bar. The service was excellent and friendly. ... Theprice is okay. About more less 25 per person. We didn't try drinking so it will go up if you orders cocktails ????. ... Waitress was awesome! Food was not pleasant. We ordered chicken and waffles. The gravy was thick and I had to send my eggs back... twice because they were not cooked properly. My husband ordered Ida’s fried chicken w/the apple cucumber salad. The salad wasa complete surprise because it was not the typical apple cucumber salad. It came w/pickled onions and feta cheese. We also hadthe seafood dip which came out thick & and not creamy. We couldn’t even dip out chips and eat it. My daughter had shrimp andgrits, grits were grainy and shrimp were over cooked. Everything came out presentable but not edible. The items on the menu didnot come out as described. If someone has allergies I would HIGHLY suggest that you ask details before ordering. Drinks weregood. The manager was nice & came to our table and addressed our issues and suggestions. We tipped our waitress well also. This is not a bad place to eat if you like southern comfort food. This was my first time and I was very impressed. At first... glance, I didn't know it was a southern type place, but as soon as I opened the menu, I knew exactly what to expect. The drinksare good, and the food is even better. I decided to try the chicken and waffles and that was delicious. The chicken tenders werecrispy and tender, waffles were flaky, egg was cooked just right, and the syrup had a nice taste. You walk in to a southern electic atmosphere. We were greeted and seated right away by the host. Our server was friendly and... helped explain the restaurant concept since it was our first visit. Everything is served from scratch and they can accommodateall food allergies. I got the hurricane to drink and it was mixed well. Loved the flavor. We started with the biscuits that comewith strawberry jam, bacon gravy and butter. I got the jack and jam burger and it was really good. The tomato jam added greatflavor. My fiance got the seafood pasta and he really enjoyed it. He liked that it wasn't too Cajuny, was a great portion anddidn't feel hefty. Read more
