I really liked the pizza, just wouldn't recommend getting mushrooms on it because they didn't look the best. Garlic biscuits... were good, bready, but good. Overall a good experience. Read more
2 and a half hours to get food. First time they went to the wrong house. Manager said he'd remake it & bring it himself inside... of 30 minutes. An hour later, they had no idea when it was coming. At the 2 &1 hour mark, somebody pulled in the drive, didn'tget out, didn't knock & threw her car in reverse before I opened the screen door & walked outside. Front door open, all thelights on .. she was just going to leave. So cold pizza, wings & bread later... Won't do that again. Read more
I was nervous to try a new pizza place. I just moved to town and used a chain pizza place once and the pizza was the worst I had... ever tasted. So I tried Five Star and was pleasantly surprised. The delivery was super fast - even on a holiday! The pizza waswell made and just as advertised. The prices are also reasonable. Overall, a great experience. I highly recommend this pizzajoint! Always amazing. Always on time. If you ever are in the mood for great pizza here in Murray Hill, Jax - FIVE STAR PIZZA is the... spot. DO not think of this place like your average pizza parlor. Nope. Beware of the disingenuous, dishonest marketing and bad customer service from 5 Star Pizza. I was mailed a $10 "no strings... attached" coupon in the mail and called to redeem it on a large pepperoni pizza carry out special, which I think is about $12.The guy on the phone says no, we can't do that because then the pizza would be free for you. Are you serious? Then don't send mea no strings attached gift card! I attached a picture so you can see that there is no language on here that disqualifies usingin on top of other specials, or anything. That is literally what no strings attached means. The call made me feel like I'm justsome freeloader trying to take advantage of them... not someone who has ordered hundreds of pizzas from them in the past. Idon't understand the strategy of mailing your customers a Holliday gift card only to ruin the goodwill by being a cheapskate andmaking up restrictions because you dont feel like redeeming it.
