This place is by far the best pizza in Jacksonville. Now they have a grilled chicken salad that is so fresh, so tasty, it is... amazing. This a favorite restaurant. We've been ordering from this wonderful place since they opened. PIZZA Their pizza is delicious and... the sauce has exactly the right amount of garlic. The pizza is baked to the crispy perfection I adore. I love their marinarasauce because it's not full of garlic and onions. PASTA So far I have tried their eggplant parmigiana, chicken parmigiana,chicken alfredo, pasta primavera and lasagna. They're all so good it would be hard to choose if I had to make a list offavorites it would be last. This is due to a spice (fennel) I dislike but it was otherwise yummy. SANDWICHES The only one I'vehad is meatball and it was very good. Seriously good meatballs. DESSERT Tira Masu cake, best I've ever tasted. If I had acriticism it would be that the garlic bread's rarely crispy enough for my taste. Sometimes I forget to ask for "extra crispy"garlic bread. Read more
Wow! I?ve been a fan for 10 years +. It?s one of the best NYC styled pizza restaurants in town. From the signature calzones to... the sweet pepperoncinis it?s all delicious and always tastes like homemade. One of Duval?s finest (certified). Read more
In the past Dolce?s Pizza was my favorite local spot for pizza/calzones. That is not the case anymore. The service and quality... of food has fallen off. My most recent order I was up-charged to add ham and jalapeños to a deluxe calzone? I received a ham,cheese, and jalapeño only calzone? The BBQ chicken pizza had so much BBQ sauce that the pizza was soggy and cheese was halfmelted. This is not the first time I have had this type of experience with Dolce?s. I keep trying to like this place bc it?s a small business BUT it?s a total let down, the pizza is fine but for the price it?s a... pass for my family. I?ve tried at least 5 times, different items in store and tonight delivery. Tonight was the last straw. Iorder a pasta dinner togo, it included bread and a salad, I added chicken- up charge $4, I selected caesar- up charge $5, seephoto. I called to ask why I was charged an upgrade when my salad was just some iceberg and pizza cheese, I was told the salad Ireceived was the upgraded and put on hold.. indefinitely.. The food was pretty good for a pizza spot, the Stromboli was great size but a little costly compared to other spots. My only... gripe is the canoli was pretty lackluster.its filling didn't seem like it was a proper mixture and was lacking on the chocolatechips inside. Read more
Dolces give you great food, reasonable prices, and friendly owner/hosts who are second to none. Sometimes you want to eat... somewhere that is truly a pleasure to walk into. This is the place. Every time you walk in the first thing you get is a smile. They make a fresh grilled chicken salad that is superb. Best lunch in Jax. Had two slices of pizza today, felt like I was backin NY. Their strombolis are amazing, the steak and cheese one is out of this world. This is a great place for Italian foodincluding pizza and more. My highest recommendation! Read more
