First time coming to this fine establishment. Saturday evening around 5pm. It was already busy inside and a crowd waiting... outside. We were a party of 2 and it was a 45 minute wait to be seated. Once seated we were greeted quickly with water and soonafter our server came and he asked if it was our first time here. He also asked about any dietary restrictions. We started withthe fried mozzarella and for our entrees, we decided on the sausage and peppers and the scallops with the risotto. For dessertwe had the cheesecake. The calabrian chili in the risotto was too spicy for me. They kindly replace it with some delicious pastawith a wonderful cream sauce. From start to finish we enjoyed every bite. It was a great environment, excellent service and myhusband commented on how well everyone worked together and helped each other. Needless to say they will be expecting a returnvisit from us. Bravo! ???????? Squisito! ???????? Catullo?s, y?all have this southern girl feeling like an Italian hot mamma. From the moment I... walked in I was transported to another world by the intoxicating aromas of sauces simmering over the stovetop, wine being pouredinto glasses, and the buzzing conversations between friends around the dining room. The staff is a dream team, and the chefs,well, I may be in love. I?ve had Italian food all over the country, and Catullo?s you?re one of the BEST! Every dish wasprepared with so much care, and detail in the perfect presentation. The flavors were exploding in my mouth. (I said what I said.Exploding. The food is freaking amazing y?all.) My favorite appetizer is the arancini. So good. My favorite dish? I honestlywould have taken any of them, filled up a bathtub, and rolled around in it. This place lived up to the hype of being the best Italian restaurant in Jacksonville. I haven't had pasta this good in years!... The wait is long, but the meal is worth it! What an exquisite meal! Order the meatball app and arancini- incredible! We had the special- it was super yummy and we added... entrée meatballs to it- that was perfection. The bartender recommended the hazelnut chocolate dessert-that was fantastic! Theenergy of this little gem is awesome and so are the people that work there! There is so much I want to say but I will just get to the point. The entire experience was phenomenal! The service was... beautiful, friendly, and amazing. The food was out of this world. The pasta just melts my n your mouth. The appetizers werefresh and flavorful. Everything was delicious!! They had a vast list of Wines and brews that you could chose from as well. Overall, the money was well spent. It was $76, but is was worth every penny. I f you have not been here, you shoulddefinitely give this place a try. Excellent food and service! Read more
This restaurant has been on our radar for weeks and finally got a chance to go. It didn't disappoint. My boyfriend and I sat at... the bar and immediately was greeted. We are a biracial couple and don't always get treated like the white folk so I wasimpressed by the immediate service. The guys at the bar is very attentive and out food came out fast. We had the classic lasagnaand the shrimp. Filled with flavor. Little too much sauce on the lasagna but otherwise. I will return. Read more
