Captain D at University Blvd, Jacksonville, fl. see attached picture, the thing they called breaded shrimp does not look... anything like breaded shrimp, more like fried okra, much different from their advertised picture (see on top of screen) theflour were white and un-cooked we threw them away. we went with our welcome gift, a fish and fries free from captain D. wecalled and was told you just have to show on your mobile phone, that's simple. in reality, the shop said, "we cant do that. you may want to try some other store". these captain D does not honor captain D welcome gift. what? Great value. Quality depends upon which staff is working. After 5 visits within three weeks, I'd say this particular Captain D's... is fairly decent. More pleasant trips than non pleasant. Read more
I ordered the seafood supreme platter, I opened it up and the food had weird white stuff all over it and it looked pretty... disgusting to be honest. The food was super cold but I ate it because my tummy was hungry. The only reason I give it a 2 isbecause of the big fat women in the front. She treated me with respect and I gave her my big pot in fortnite. Read more
Hadn't been to a Captain D's in maybe 20 years, and this location really brought it back in a good way. The fish and the fries... were both fresh and crispy as were the hush puppies. The service was prompt and friendly and I didn't have to wait long for myfood in the drive-thru. Thanks y'all! Read more

Arrived a little after lunch time, so not much of a crowd. Got a new guy at the register , couldn?t tell if he had a attitude or... if he was just nervous at being new. Ordered my food and sat down, the wait seemed a little long to be the only person thatordered, but that was fine. The two issues I had were the size of the fish on my meal with hardly any fries. It looked like kidsportions, I?m fine with paying a little more to get a few more fries on my plate, and a few decent size pieces of fish. But thebest part was watching the manager argue with a lady over giving her a order of fries that the kitchen messed up on. I guess thefries or gold at this establishment, that?s why I only had like 8 with my order, and the manager was not going to give the ladyhers. This is suppose to be my BIG FISH SANDWICH!! went through drive thru after work, university location. visited the dining room... the day before, same meal was great very nice lady opened container to show me what I was getting!!decided to return the nextday after work before going home. I live a great distance away, when I got home I opened and I wasn't pleased!! Called number onticket many times, no one answered, constant Busy signal, tried to call area manager listed on ticket who by the way neverreturned my call. But that's ok. Fish was too hard, appeared to have burn areas.. certainly not the best I know Captain D iscapable of. Food is usually fresh, customer service is questionable sometimes but they are always short staffed. So, its understandable.
