Story time Me and my family came here for fathers Day brunch buffet as they had heavily advertised online and it had already... started off rocky, as we arrive we inform the host that we have a reservation to which he points outdoors on which there is atable with a reserved sign and no cutlery, no placemats, nothing but the sign. We thought maybe this is just the norm, we cangrab plates and cups at the buffet. Nobody accompanies us or ever comes to set the table or let us know how this works. Washoping the food would save this restaurant... Unfortunately this wasn't the case. Clearly all the hash browns, bacon, sausageswere severely overcooked in the same vat of oil, there was a long lineup for a cup of coffee, the chicken was dry and lackedflavor. The dishes had a layer of grime and they ran out of dishes multiple times and their entire seating area was not evenfull. After settling in a bit we noticed that another group of guests were being seated outside. Interestingly they had fullplacemats, cutlery, glasses for drinks. The host had the audacity after not having attended to us once in the past 25 minutes toask us to exchange chairs so that the elderly woman - who ended up being a similar age to my father can sit more comfortably.After this exchange we still had nobody check in on us, clearly they knew we were here as they had checked in on the other tablemultiple times. We did not know what to do with our plates and noticed that others had started to pile it on an empty table. Ittook another 20 minutes before our first check in with a staff, a whole 45 minutes after we had been seated. The busgirl comesand she had realized we had received no service and asked us if we needed anything. We did not ask for anything because we hadbeen fed up with feeling like we were eating in a food court. We had such a great time at this restaurant! We were staying at the hotel and got a stay package that included dinner and we?re... so impressed with the food! Portions were huge and everything tasted amazing. We didn?t catch our servers name but she wasworking close on June 11th and was the sweetest person! It was just her so she was pretty busy but never didn?t have a smile onher face! Would definitely recommend and go again Read more
The worst service we have ever had. Waitress did not return to table to see how our meal was or offer another drink.... Specifically asked if one dish had onions and she said no..it was full of onions! Waitress was angry because we asked for moneyoff of that specific dish and stomped away without a word. Had an amazing waitress, Beatrix. Her drinks were stellar as well as her attitude! The food was great! And the view was amazing.... Definitely would recommend. After having a horrible experience with the Lake Simcoe Arms pub, due to horrible service theLakeview was exactly what we needed. Thank you again Beatrix!! And would recommend the mojitos!!! Our waitress was friendly. The food was average. The other woman working there was incredibly unprofessional. She was talking... loudly about her personal life to her son, who was sitting at the bar. She made rude, profanity laced comments about hip hopmusic, and complained about other patrons right in front of us as we were paying our bill. No one, including two people wholooked like managers, addressed the situation at all. Read more
Great view?that?s the 2 stars. My son asked for chocolate milk. He received milk with hot chocolate mix added. He could not... drink it. He then ordered pancakes which clearly states that home fries were included. When I asked the waitress where thehome fries were she told me that pancakes are different and I would to pay extra for them. After I pushed back she included themfor him. The food looked good but I ended up getting sick and throwing up from the Salmon at dinner. I?m not one to get sick from food.... The next day we decided to give it another try because it?s hard to mess up breakfast but it took 10 mins to even get a menu andanother 30+ mins to get our food. We ordered a simple classic eggs, toast and bacon. Staff more people, there was literally oneserver during breakfast on a Sunday. Read more
