This place is fantastic. I love the upside down, light and fluffy with excellent red sauce. If you like spicy try the long hots... and sausage slices. Read more

The square pie is on point. Sauce cheese and doe is great. Got a chicken vodka penne dinner and chicken saltimbocca over penne,... top notch. Fresh seasoned chicken, sauce was full of flavor and portions were great. By the pictures u can see i dug in waybefore i got the pic lol. Its 15mins away but worth the drive. Plus last the bread for dipping in the sauce, not many placeshave good bread and always seem to fall short but not them. I was very satisfied ???? Read more

On vacation stopped in due to the Barstool review. The pizza is well very good! The sesame crust is great! You have to get the... original square slice too! The owner was there while we were in and was attentive to all customers and made the experiencewonderful! The staff also were very talkative and made it feel like more than just eating some good pie! I have to say this is one of the worst Pizzeria restaurant in all of Jackson. I come from New York I know quality Food and I?ve... never had chicken cutlet Parmesan that the chicken cutlet quality was as if it were purchased from B rated meat producer likeWestern markets. The cutlet was second day as breading was crumbling off the chicken cutlet , brown and rancid taste. Ispecifically informed the order taker to ensure the cutlet is soft, not mountainous in texture and flat, due to my previousexperience. The photo tells it all and never again to order from this establishment.if I could rate it zero I would Read more

Get the Upside Down Square. Even if you don't typically like Sicilian style. You wont regret it. Also, bring an extra person or... two because there will be plenty to eat. The owner and the staff are super friendly. Will be back. Read more

Went for lunch May 2 2022 and bought a full pizza. Very expensive at +$30. Pizza dough was premade, and doughy in the center.... Also, Pizza was cold in the center even though it was a ?fresh pie?. See included picture of pre-made pizza bases/doughs stackedin restaurant dining area next to entry of same. Pizza sauce was about how you would imagine it; but with a little extra pulpthat made it slightly better. Toppings on a fresh new pie we?re not particularly encompassing, but enough to getby. Interesting to note, the premade pies had a much greater coverage; at least twice as much as the fresh pie that I paidoutright for. External trestle seating was spotted with what appeared to be tomato sauce and looked somewhat dirty. The entirehour that we were there there were no signs of cleaning the external tables. They were covered with crumbs and tomato sauce. Isuspect standards have dropped over the last few years as I don?t see that this establishment rates are 4 1/2 stars or anywherenear there. Capsule comment: good for lunch, nothing special. Read more

So I hear Brooklyn Square has the best pizza in the state. And somehow after 15 years of marriage to a woman who's lived around... the corner from it forever, I never had it... Until this weekend. And let me tell you, it lived up to the hype. The Peter'sSpecial square pie was just about perfect. Go look at my pics, I'll wait. See that? That's a great char on the bottom. Thetomato, mozzarella and basil was phenomenal. The basil smacked me in the face as soon as I opened the lid. I dove straight intoit, while my mother in law jingled the pizza cutter at me. I think I may have grunted because I was distracted by how good itlooked. Yeah there's some cheese overflow onto the crust but I'm not one to complain about that either. The edge slices wereflawless, but everything got a bit chewier in the center. The round pie was solid as well. I don't mean to give the short stickto them on that but it was fine. The sesame seeds on the crust weren't a hit with the kids except my oldest. Very much worthit. Take a trip if you haven't. Read more
