If I could give zero stars then I would. This place has the WORST SERVICE EVER! Actually we didn?t get any service!!! A... bartender with a nasty attitude and he was also the server. My friend and I went Friday, 8/23/22 around 4:45pm. We sat for 15minutes with no service. The bartender was standing next to us and she said excuse me several times and he totally ignored her.I finally told her that I was leaving and if she wanted to stay I?ll come back and pick her up. I also learned that she hadgone the Friday before 8/16 and the bartender refused to serve her and a friend after they came late to join their party. Theyleft and went to another restaurant. I asked her why did she suggest we come back and she said she wanted to give them anotherchance. Well, we see how that turned out. Seems they have a horrible reputation for below poor service. Omg... when I tell you a nice atmosphere. Food, drinks, music. We had a party of 8, everyone got something different. The... spinach was sooooo good. I wish more men was there, was alot of beautiful single women. Our server was easily distracted. Read more
Absolutely terrible service. If you sit in any section that?s behind other tables, you won?t get enough attention from the... servers to get food/drinks in a timely manner. I?d like to say that it was just the server that we had, but being my first visithere, I can?t say. He was rude throughout the entire experience while I ate with coworkers. The food here is decent. Not a lotto talk about from what I ordered (deviled eggs that had a watery finish and fried catfish that came with soft french fries.)Not a good experience at a place that holds themselves in such high regard. There are two areas to this restaurant-we ate in the bar area and did not go upstairs. Therefore, I have no idea what the... upstairs looks like or if the menu is the same. We got there at about 5:15 on a Friday night and had no trouble getting a table.There were two people behind the bar and one of them came to our table within 5 minutes with drink and food menus. He was backwithin a few minutes to take our drink order as well as our food order. The food probably took about 20 minutes but it may havebeen longer as I was really enjoying my amaretto sour ????. I had the catfish and grits - a fried catfish filet over cheddargrits with a crawfish sauce. I?ve had shrimp and grits before and it?s one of my favorites, so this combination intrigued me. Tosay the least, I was not disappointed. Excellent dish!! My husband ordered the crab cakes - no filler lump crab cake with lemonbutter sauce, served over petite mix green salad. I would have to say that this is the best crab cakes I?ve ever had. When theysay no filler, that?s exactly what they mean. Delicious!! We had fudge cake for dessert and it was a three layer dark chocolatecake with a thick fudge icing. We ordered small plates and it was still generous portions. I went there twice in one week. Just so happened that my out-of-town friends were on a plane and this was one of the... recommendations to attend - and my oh my, it was a great recommendation. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great, themusic was fabulous and it just added to our girlfriends experience. Oh yeah, did I mention that the drinks were fantastic. That liquid marijuana, (a drink..) oh baby yeah! The location is kind of out of the way, but we weren?t really concerned. Andyou will not regret having gone there as they have a variety of dishes from steamed vegetables, which the girls absolutelyloved, to seafood and burgers, Even the fries were ?to write home about.? do not hesitate to make this part of your Jacksondining experience. There are pictures of historical people and stars on the exterior walls. The entrance understates the vibeand ambience inside.
