Went here for lunch with my fam which was their first time and my 3rd time going here. I think the server was new on that day... yet he was super helpful and attentive while seemed to overwhelmed which was totally understandable. Among other Koreanrestaurants in Ithaca, I could say that Kimchi is the one with the most authentic Korean flavor. Keep up the great work :-) Read more

The food is 5 but service is 3. I feel sorry for the poor guy who basically runs the entire dining area by himself. Which means... it takes 10 minutes to be seated, 5min for water and another 5min for silverware... He is very kind and helpful but please, owner, get extra crew to help him!! The food is great and has generous portions considering the price. Look at the Korean friedchicken wings - they are HUGE!! Budae Jjigae and spicy fried squid are delicious, too. They are not parsimonious to add themeat. Read more

Ten out of five stars. This is the best Korean restaurant we have been to. It is a small storefront & modest, in the Ithaca... Commons. Inside, it is bright, very clean and amazing service. The tea was the best we have ever had. We'll be back. Read more

We were visiting Ithaca for the first time from Florida. We got caught in a rain storm and seeking refuge, we entered Kimchi!... What a delightful experience. From the beautifully fluffy and flavorful omelet to the amazing hot pot that could easily feedfour, it was all excellent. Looking forward to our next visit. Read more

I dont know why this stands at 4 stars overall. This restaurant has THE best korean food. We ate so much, couldnt do any hikes... after a late lunch. Best place for a Soju and Korean food for people who want to try Korean dishes. Great staff, very polite andfriendly. Non expensive. Overall we had the best lunch hands down on a 3-day trip. Amazing food and service! Waiter was very nice. I ordered the Bento Box (???) and it was delicious. The Kimchi was also... exceptional. We came on a Wednesday and there were a lot of other people eating, but since we had a reservation, we didn't haveto wait, and the staff did a very good job accommodating us. Despite the large number of people, the food came very quicklyafter ordering. Read more

?????, ?? ??? ? ?????!! I was so excited to try out a new Korean place in town, and they really did not disappoint! The menu is... extensive and even offers a vegetarian section. I was craving something that had more of a home cooked feel, so I ordered thegrilled mackerel, which comes with a side of dwenjang jjigae (Korean miso soup) and rice. Unfortunately, you have to pay fortheir banchans (side dishes) unless you order one of the larger shared meals, but it was honestly worth it. The kimchi wasdelicious. The fish was grilled perfectly, and the soup was a lovely complement for it all. The full meal felt like I was eatinga meal my mom had made for me. In addition, the manager and employees were incredibly kind. They packed some extras in with myorder: a side of steamed egg, as well as an extra container of cucumber kimchi. I was so grateful for this gesture ofkindness. Thank you, Kimchi, for this meal! I will most definitely be back and will be spreading the word about this newrestaurant. Read more
