Horrible place. It is a scam. It is not a bistro it is a countertop with one woman doing everything. She told me my order was... $36, which was high. I asked for a receipt and she said I should have asked her before she scanned my credit card and refused togive me one.. I called the next day to get a receipt and again she refused. It showed up on my credit card as $46. My creditcard company is reversing the charge. What a scam. The food was horrible too. Who ever heard of ordering a gyro without apita. She said the pita is a dollar extra. Also the Mediterranean "super" salad is a fist full of lettuce, a few onions anddiced tomatoes for $10. Not an olive in sight! Wonderful food! I grabbed some take out from gateway Mediterranean. Service was great and the staff was so nice. I have a lot of... ridiculous allergies and rice is one of them. It did not say in the menu that my Mediterranean shrimp came with rice. But myhusband received extra rice and i will know next time to let them know of that allergy. I definitely recommend and will be back.It was so good! Read more
We ordered Greek salads, fava beans, baba ganoush, falafel, chicken shawarma, kosheri...it was so delicious. The only person... working was a capable but harried woman. I wish someone else could have helped her. But our meal was terrific. Thank you! Read more
We ordered takeout online, waited 20 minutes, arrived, they had just started prepping our order (no big deal). Waited there for... another 45 minutes (stupid, because it wasn't busy). The Greek salad was bad (just a mound of lettuce with a little choppedtomato and feta on top). The gyros were bad (meat had no flavor and was stringy/fatty). Delicious Food ! I ordered the mix Lebanese grill and hummus. -Everything was delicious + fresh. -Chicken Kababs were juicy,... tender and delicious. -Beef Seekh Kabab had a very delicious and peculiar south east asian flavor to it which I reallyliked. -Beef Kafta Kababs though flavorful enough were a bit harder for me to chew. The portion sizes are undoubtedly on thesmaller side but the delectable taste makes up for them. Read more
We have ordered food from Gateway Mediterranean several times. The chicken shawarma dinner (over rice) is consistently good and... the portion is large. The baba ganoush is consistently outstanding, one of the best I’ve ever had. It would be nice if therestaurant added a big roasted vegetable plate to the menu. With a big vegetable plate, 2 chicken shawarma dinners, and an orderof baba ganoush, I could feed a family of 4 very nicely! Healthy and delicious food! Read more
The food was very delicious. The place is small but it had tables outside so it was not problem for us to sit and eat. Most of... our meals were taken to go because we couldn't eat it all. One negative thing about this place was under staffed service. Whenwe got there they had only one person staff in there. She had to take phone orders, in person orders and cook all theorders-not too good business readiness. She was able to call some one and get some help. When they were two people cookingeverything moved a lot faster. She had one big order before ours. Then she got our order done-- for 9 people.Halal food isalways the best. I really enjoyed the food. If you like spicy food let them know so they know hot to prepare it for you, and ifyou are not a spicy food fan - maku sure you tell them because many sauces and side trays have spices in it. It seems like a lotof students eat or buy food from there as well. We saw a lot of young people walking around. The food prices are reasonableconsidering it's Halal place and it can cost more to buy the stuff. The restroom was huge but little neglected. It will be niceto keep it more cleaner - maybe they do just we ended up being there at the wrong time (under staffed) She mentioned that theother person was stuck in traffic or not feeling good- I don't remember. My overall experience was good. I called ahead and was given a 40 min pick up time but I waited another 10 mins at the... restaurant. It was only one lady taking orders and cooking so expect a long wait time. The food itself was great. The Lebanesemix Grill was tasty. The hummus with veggies was yummy. The pita was toasted. Falafel was too dry for me and would notrecommend. Read more
