I hate to be a Karen but im gonna do it anyways. My sister & I personally don?t like going to this restaurant but we go because... my parents enjoy the atmosphere & the food, & they look forward to going here every summer especially that I?m home fromuniversity. It?s usually a very nice experience, however the so called customer service we received yesterday made theexperience unpleasant. A worker left our order out unlabeled & did not call our name, so multiple other customers opened andeven touched our food (which isn?t their fault because they didn?t know whose order it was due to the worker?s lack of clarity),therefore I asked the worker to bring it back & bring us newly cooked, untouched food. this is not an unreasonable requestbecause serving us food that other customers touched & rearranged is disgusting. This short teenage boy worker gave me a dirtylook, rolled his eyes & scoffed. that?s honestly unacceptable because you would think that him applying for a job in food &accepting the offer letter, he knew what he was getting himself into. sorry that i don?t want to eat food touched by otherpeople?s hands?? i work in retail ? literally doing the BARE. MINIMUM. & even I give better customer service than that. not tomention this is a seafood restaurant, so you?d think their customer service would be decent. He then brought back alleged ?newlycooked food,? but it was as cold as an unused toilet seat. I buy fresh fish here pretty much once a week. Gotten great quality clams, mussels, swordfish and red snapper -- counter staff... make good recommendations and let you know what's fresh - they'll even give you some pointers on how to cook it. Excellent sea food! You wouldn't even know this place is here. You have to drive down to the end of the dock, past the warehouse... and park. Go inside and place your order at the window. Large selection of seafood and combos. Also they have New England,Manhattan, and Long Island Clam Chowder. We had the Long Island and it was outstanding. Also had the seafood bisque and it wasgreat also. We had the fried seafood combo and it was prepared perfectly. Not greasy. Nice and crisp coating. Well seasoned.Definitely fresh seafood. You can also buy raw seafood at the counter. They have a lot of variety of fresh fish and shrimp.Live lobsters. Friendly staff. Everything came out really quickly after ordering. Decided to go on a quest to find a decent lobster roll locally for some guests that are coming up to visit. I heard that White... Cap should be a contender and gave it a try. Chef told me how they make the lobster sauce fresh every morning and it reallymakes it taste great. The dish they served it with included French fries, cole slaw, pickle and salad. So they are now #1 in therunning! So here I am several weeks later. My company arrived and we went to White Cap to try the winner of my quest for bestlobster roll in the area and they came through again! My daughter experienced the same as my first experience. I'm not easily impressed, but their soups are damn good. Their seafood is good, although I'm not the biggest fan of crab, it's... completely because of the work involved. I've still had my share of blue claws, but I'm more of a fan of swordfish, salmon, andmussels. The service is usually great, but if you get here during a dinner rush, be prepared to wait. Hard to find as it is set way in the back of a long dirt road off main St. Once back there you can see fisherman shucking clams... right off the boat so it does not get any more fresh than this!! There are only 4 or 5 tables for seating but looks like in thesummer they have an outdoor clam bar. You order at the counter and it is served fresh and hot. There is also a fish market ifyou prefer to buy it and cook it at home. I had baby scallops with fries and Cole slaw. It was very good and portions we're solarge it was actually 2 meals. Only improvement I would suggest is a thorough cleaning of the dining area, scrubbing down thetables, chairs, walls and condiment bottles. Read more
