Reviews for Long Island Cafe in Isle of Palms, SC

So far, there are only two restaurants / eateries I have returned to more than three times this year. Long Island Café is one... of them, for various reason, the main one the quality of the food. Add to that the friendly, patient and attentive waitingstaff, and you have a winner. I had wonderfully prepared pan fried flounder with garlic mash potatoes and cole slaw, and willreturn again, and again! My partners had calamari and crab stuffed prawns, and they were really happy! Today was our first time eating here and everything was AMAZING. Our waitress was kristy (I hope I’m spelling it right) she... was super sweet and really went the extra mile for everyone she served. I had the crab cakes with mashed potatoes and greenbeans— it was absolutely DELICIOUS. We’re not from here, but the next time we visit, we are definitely going to come back. Read more

Let me start by saying the Staff is very Attentive!!! I loved the fact they noticed everything, If your glass was half full... they came. Noticed I said they, as the hostesses worked to assist the Wait staff. My son had the Shrimp dinner, they wereperfectly fried. My husband had the Filet Mignon with the crab cake. Steak was a perfect cut, well seasoned and the crab cakewas awesome. I myself had the Whole fried flounder. I will be honest, it's not a dish I will try again. Tasted like it wasfried twice. Not seasoned well. Had more potential. But everything else was great. No I did not bring it to their attention asI knew they would have fixed it. I was simply enjoying the atmosphere and trying menu items. The lobster bisque soup was amazingas well as the shrimp and grits. Will I come back one day? Yes, I will return. Make reservations. Had a great girls night celebrating a friend’s birthday. Sat at the bar and had super friendly service, love the wine list and... the softshell crab on the specials list was excellent. I made reservations here to celebrate a family members birthday. We were a party of 8. We were seated promptly by the friendly... staff member. We ordered 4 kid's meals, they messed up one, caught it before they even served it to us, and corrected it. Otherorders included the red fish special, crab encrusted grouper, shrimp salad, and the trio of fish, scallops, and shrimp. All weredelicious. For dessert we ordered the mud pie and peanut butter ice cream pie. Amazing! We were split at the table on whichdessert was best. Service was attentive, friendly, and quick. We chose the calamari for an appetizer. The light crispy breading was so good! I had the flounder and my husband chose a combo... that had the shrimp and fried oysters.
