This is the worst Mexican restaurant I?ve ever eaten. You get one tiny basket of chips and one extra along with one SMALL LITTLE... PLASTIC CUP OF PICO. We have 6 people at our table! You can have more chips added to this little basket for $5. Mexican is ourfavorite, we are on vacation and this is the biggest disappointment of the week! I absolutely love Mexican food. There are several places in a small city of South Carolina (where I live) that are ten times... better. Kind of sad if you think about it. I mean it is FLORIDA. COME ON. I had been craving Mexican food the whole time I wasthere and it was such a major let down. No wonder there was only 3 other tables in the whole restaurant during prime lunchtime.. First of all, they only give you this absolutely tiny bowl of chips and a salsa that is not salsa but purely just tomatochunks with a little seasoning. If you want any more chips it is $5. Ridiculous. Prices do not match food quality. Additionally,the queso dip was honestly not any better than what you can buy in store. Not to mention, the bean dip on the menu just saysbean dip; when you get it it looks like watered down beans with onion chunks. And tastes like it too. The bean dip is the exactsame thing as the beans they give you for the meal side. My boyfriend and I both got fajitas, which it tasted like the onlyseasoning on it was a marinara sauce. He got the Mahi Mahi fajitas and they were absolutely covered in it. Furthermore, thewaiter never came by to give refills and only came by to get our orders and give us the check.. Salsa was not up to my specifications for edibility. 3:15pm waitress had no smile, had to wait on a table,... never returned to fill our drinks and only brought the check for us to pay out. Along my drive down to Key West I had a few options in my bookmarks for Mother's Day dinner. A stop in Islamorada drew me Puerta... Vallarta Mexican Bar & Grill. SUPERB attentive service; at least 3 people were checking on me and taking my order. In additionto the pleasant and speedy customer service, their colorful food presentation was appetizing. My Fish ceviche tostada was freshand crisp; a perfect appetizer, I actually wanted more! I loved my seafood burrito smothered in the sauce and it wasn'tsloppy-looking either. With that, I celebrated by having a couple of refreshing Michelada con Estrella Jalisco.
