It was my first time at la margarita. The ambiance was great, I was seated right way and was greeted with a happy/smiley face!... My server was very explanatory since I informed him of my first time being there. He offered great items and had good knowledgethe of the menu. I ordered pesto enchiladas. They are 4 enchiladas wrapped with chopped up shrimp and served with beans andtopped with their delicious pesto sauce. Everything tasted great. The only thing disappointing to me was the quantity of themeal. It's the tiniest enchiladas I've ever come across. The price was $14.99 for this meal (please look at the unzoomed picture of the plate I've pasted). It can pass for an appetizer but for a meal, quantity was too less. Even pricey shrimpappetizers at other restaurants have more food on the plate than what was served as meal(pesto enchiladas) at la margarita!!Please improve the quantity for your meals. Specially if they are listed under "chef's speciality". I am not cheap and don'twant more for my money. I just find it hard to accept it as a full meal for $14.99. Read more
Pleasantly surprised by this little hidden gem. From the moment we walked in, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The... drinks were very good and each dish was very well made. We fully enjoyed our meal. I would recomend to try them if you're in thearea. Read more
The service was great. We were a party of 9 and they immediately put tables together for us. Food was average, which I took off... a star for. My gorditas were ok, but probably would have been better with beans inside versus a la charra. Chips and sauce weredelicious. I got stuffed on those and they were kind enough to refill. Calling this place TexMex would be insulting. It is genuinely awesome, authentic Mexican cuisine. The food is always served... piping hot and the service is impeccable. I cannot rave enough about this restaurant. Highly recommend it. Read more
Great place for some good Mexican food in Irving. My favorite dishes are Pollo Maria and Grill tilapia, both prepare very... similar. Flan was very good. Staff is friendly and good ambience. There is plenty of parking options. Read more
If you are in to shrimp, order pesto shrimp enchilada. It?s the best I ever had in recent years. The tortilla, sautéed shrimp... and creaminess inside it and especially the pesto sauce is out of universe. Definitely recommend. Must try. The less than stellar review is for the drinks and service. After picking up drinks with my to go order, I could tell they were... less than full in already small cups. I had ordered a Pair of Top Shelf Grande margaritas. I asked to see the manager who cameover to tell me the drinks were appropriate for the order. When I showed him how they were less than full (the tilted pictureshows when the drink level touched the lid), he said ?I can add more ice? with a completely straight face. I?m not sure if hewas being patronizing or was just that oblivious to the terrible value. It?s all especially ironic for a restaurant named ?LaMargarita?. I dont come here often due to the distance it takes at times to get here. However, when I am in the area and I have time I... absolutely LOVE coming here mainly for the Guacamole Rèal. If you like avocado, then you absolutely need to try this out! Thefood is great also but MAN that guacamole hit the spot when I take the first bite. The waiters and waitresses are also veryfriendly!
