The inside of the restaurant has been closed for weeks now. I like to go inside and place my order. The drive thru always mess... up. Today we ordered our regular Saturday dinner to get home and find out the food was stale. Chicken fried chicken meal was(steak) white gravy and asked for brown. 2 peace white hard and stale. 6 peace tender cold and white gravy on mash potatoesasked for brown. Was there at opening 7:00 1st in line . Took 3 min and a phone call " are you open " to get waited on . Repeated my order 4... times. Drove around to window Repeated 2 more times . Then 2nd person took my order once more . Almost 18 min in the drivethrough and late to work. In the past I have given them 5 stars. Food was great to my coworkers and I. At one time I picked upevery Friday and gave them 5 stars ... this visit did not warrant 5 stars . Read more
What can I say... It's Grandys! Dearly missed in Houston TX. This was my first stop in Dallas for a meal from DFW. The animated... gentleman working the cashier (he's originally from Houston) elevated this unappreciated food chain experience... Give that mana raise! The workers are lazy. With other ?fast? restaurants, the goal is to get you in and out even if that means having customers pull... to a parking space and wait for their order in order to serve other customers timely. This particular restaurant does not.Example; If the customer has a fish meal, make the customer wait at the window 7 minutes while the workers are doing nothing.Dine-in is also closed which proves their laziness. Will be going to the restaurant website for a formal complaint. Also, notreturning. They have lost much business per hour by their workers laziness because the line does not move. You also cannot getout of the drive thru line if it is backed up because your walled-in. You can here 30 minutes having an appointment to catch andwill miss it. AVOID THIS PLACE! Read more
Finally found a Grandy?s in the area! Such a nostalgic experience as they used to be everywhere when I was a kid. They have a... great breakfast selection. Biscuits and gravy, country fried steak, hash browns, bacon. All delicious. The only thing I?m sad wemissed is the yeast rolls don?t come out til around 10:30am. The employees at this family-run business are sooo nice andextremely helpful to make your experience the best. After bringing my father here before his flight back to VA, the owner saidwhen he visits again to call ahead, and he will make yeast rolls earlier for him. How sweet is that? Ordered the brown gravy with my country fried steak and the gravy smelled and tasted burnt. Everything else was OK. Also, they... still do not offer the buffet yet. The parking lot was so dark at night I thought the place was closed down and there was noteven lights on the building. Location is not what it used to be like. Read more
