Thier Saturday Brunch (11am-3pm) is a CULINARY MASTERPIECE! I had the Pancake Battered French Toast with Chicken Fired Bacon,... and I have to think where these items have been all my life. Dipped in thier jalapeno gravy, the chicken fried bacon is on aleague of it's own. With every bite, my brain released endorphins to tell me this is the most perfect thing I've ever had. My wife and I have eaten breakfast here a couple of times and really enjoyed the food and service so we decided to try dinner.... We ordered a burger and a salad and after nearly an hour wait the burger came out but not the salad. I took one bite of a coldand grease saturated onion ring and we just left. What a shame. Refreshing experience: I visit a lot of places through out the DFW some good, some bad. We just so happened upon this place and... I'm glad we did. From the moment we opened the door it was nothing but good vibes. The food was great. The jalapeno gravy, justwow. (I hate Gravy by the way). First time I had a gravy that I've liked. The service amazing, gives you that local diner feelwhere everyone knows everyone. Also the 4 dollars mimosa might have you trying to find your phone in the dark with theflashlight on your phone. This is it, the place you've been looking for! First visit today and I'm sure this place will be on our regular rotation. The... staff (Aunt Cissy included!)was so nice and friendly. Hell, even if they weren't, the food is worth coming back for! I had thechicken fried chicken and "hangover fries" and they were delicious. Crispy chicken crust that could be eaten by itself! In fulldisclosure,I learned today that there's a gravy that I actually like, matter of fact I love it! Their jalapeno gravy issomething to write home about! Eating at Aunt Cissy?s is always a pleasure. They have to have the friendliest, most family feeling staff in Irving. It?s... obvious that everyone there is wants to be there and loves this place. It?s just a wholesome and friendly feel. They?regenuinely happy to have you there. The food is delicious and naughty. Their chicken fried bacon is on a level of it?s own. Alsoall their ingredients taste fresh and flavorful. Big fan of their mimosas too. Regarding the space, it?s pretty small right nowbut have plans to expand in the next year or so.
