Reviews for Phan’s Kitchen and Bar in Irvine, CA
It’s an average restaurant. Not bad, but if you’re expecting your “typical pho experience” when you can choose from a... variety of different soups with different cuts of beef, you won’t find it here. Here it’s just Pho and that’s it. Alsothere’s no service. You place your order at the register and they bring it to your table. They didn’t offer us water orsauces, suppose it’s self service. But when you pay you’re offered to add tip. The minimum pre-set option is 18%, howeverthere’s no service for that, not even water is offered. So, to sum it up, it’s a food court type of service with prettyaverage tasting food but with prices of a traditional restaurant, being a bit on a higher side. Read more
Decent but overpriced pho/noodle soups. The ambiance is casual order up front and served where you're seated dining. It was an... ok restaurant to try but only if you're in south county not willing to drive all the way to Westminster/Garden Grove area.Interesting concept but I think I'll drive north of Irvine. I really like Vietnamese food. A close friend of the family owns a great mom and pop Vietnamese restaurant in Philadelphia and... this reminds me of that. The broth was rich. The brisket flavorful. I also enjoyed the Ahi salad. Will definitely be back. Read more
This wonton soup was not worth the $13. I only had one spoon and gave it to my husband to finish. Even he didn’t like it!... Noodles tasted old and wonton was a bit rubbery Read more
Pho is pretty good They need to use a different bowl to make soup hot Pretty pricey, nice beer bar but , they closed too early... ..... open late on weekend Excellent interior but , too much American fast food style of Vietnamese restaurant Read more
Tried the top round beef pho for the first time and dayum...top quality pho. Most pho places usually only have pork and vegi... spring rolls. It’s nice that they have spring rolls with many other options. The peanut sauce was a bit watered down and blanbut the pho bowl flavor def made up for it. Plenty of seating inside and out. Pretty cool take on your typical pho restaurant.Overall good food. I give it a solid 4.5 only because I think the prices are a bit steep for the overall concept without thatWOW type factor to justify prices. Read more

If you have had pho prepare yourself for pho that has butter but still bland and fused noodles. Not only are the food bad but... price is so expensive. Honestly, if you're craving something Vietnamese, go any where else but here and you'll be happy. Read more
