Reviews for Heirloom Farmhouse Kitchen in Irvine, CA
I’ve been a guest since Sunday night and checking out on Friday. The staff that works at the restaurant is diverse in age,... gender and race. However, also in people skills. I had the pleasure of being served by Ana, authentically sweet and attentive. She makes you feel welcomed. I had the pleasure of being saved by Amber from a distracted server who ignores me for over 15minutes at breakfast despite me looking at her direction, waving, and actually getting up from my seat and asking for a menu. She still attended a gentleman that came in after me forcing me to leave my selected seating area to move closer to where otherguest where all sitting and getting some attention. Amber had appeared and her friendly smile and service started to turn thingsaround. Being that I e been here since Sunday I’ve only had breakfast here for the convenience. The breakfast menu is great, the beautiful setting and relaxing music has been a needed pampering for me. Unfortunately, life isn’t perfect and there arethose who make me wonder, if they don’t like their job, why are they there? On Tuesday night, I had another unfortunateencounter when I ordered the Wagyu beef cheek over the phone. Will not go into the details but the person made me feel like Iwas bothering them by ordering (I’m sorry I thought you could hit pause on Netflix while watching on your phone and you couldalways resume). I did bring it up to Lauren in management who agreed, that kind of service makes a business look bad. I guessbad service is everywhere and we all have bad days. However, management could always remind their employee that customers (likeme) will let management know if the service is not acceptable; so don’t bring your bad attitude to work. Thank you toAnastasia, Amber and Lauren for providing the kind of service I would provide if I was serving you. Read more
I really love coming here. The pork chop is superb and the butter beans it comes with is the secret star on the plate. Always a... lovely experience! Read more
This is our second time here as the food, drinks and atmosphere was really great the first time. However, our second time we... were practically forgotten about. We ordered two entrées and two drinks. Neither entrées came out in a reasonable time. Weasked after waiting about 40 minutes and they said that they gave the chicken entrée to someone else so they brought out thebeef cheeks entrée we ordered and said that they were working on the chicken. They told us that they would remove it from ourbill which was nice. However, we were going to a concert at the Irvine five points amphitheater and we already spent more timethan expected. We asked multiple times and they said they were still working on it but we had to go to. Unfortunately we left,we talked to the assistant manager and she was apologetic, but there was nothing they could do. We were there for over an hourand a half and we couldn't wait any longer, we had to go.. So yes, even though they removed the chicken from our bill, it didn'tmatter because we only got one entrée for the two of us. Thankfully, we were able to share it. They said they were shortstaffed, but everyone around us got all their entrées and we were there long before all of them. It was a unfortunate mistakeas we really like this place. We enjoy Hive and Honey a lot and we thought this would be our new pre dinner spot. Even thoughit’s just down the street from I'm not sure if we'll come back. Read more
Surprisingly good food for a hotel restaurant. The service was good an consistent. The burger was cooked medium, just the way I... like it. Fries were crispy but still had the flufliness inside. Read more
This hidden gem in Marriott is perfect for casual gathering with colleague after work or with friends. I was introduced to the... bar by a colleague, then brought friends here twice, all with great experiences. They have great food, fantastic charcuterie, and amazing cocktails. The waitresses have been very friendly and attentive. I have tried every dinner course and the steak wasmy favorite. Also bourbon with extra syrup tastes just right. During COVID, there’s no wait-in-line. You could walk in anytime with ample space to choose from. Many people were redirected here because the rooftop bar was too popular - well, Heirloomis no second tier in comparison. Read more
Really great meal for a hotel restaurant. Roasted carrots were great in the yogurt sauce that was like and Indian... influence. Definitely get the heirloom tomato salad, phenomenal. Had the flank steak and it was definitely overcooked. Notmedium rare. Still tasted good, but not where it should have been. Read more
This restaurant is in the Marriott. It did not say that when we researched it. If you go to the Marriott just to dine you have... to pay $20 to park. OK now let's talk about the food. Pick an item on the menu and then just reverse the list of ingredients. For instance I got the chilaquiles. The 1st ingredient is andouille sausage. That is the least. I got 3 itty bitty pieces on myplate. Almost needed a magnifying glass to find it. The eggs were cooked properly. The last ingredient is chips. That was 98%of my meal. If I wanted a plate of chips, I would have asked for it. All 3 of us were not happy with our breakfast. Verydisappointing! Read more
The flavor of the filet was lacking. As though it had not been seasoned at all. The red wine reduction tasted like brown gravy. ... Just not what we were expecting and for the price, not satisfied. Read more
