NOT Recommended! There is NO person there to take your order first off only a kiosk. After ordering the what was thought to be... a meatless option turns out to be chicken... Their entire menu states what is chicken/beef/pork but what I ordered made NOmention of chicken in the description, only cheese curry, however it was all chicken. I tried to return it and he wouldn't allowit, but would exchange it for a meatless option as I stated. This long-haired man recommended the cheese tater tots, so I agreeand he brings them out to me... AFTER ONE BITE IT'S CLEARLY COVERED IN A BEEF SAUCE!!! Don't go here if you have any questionson what your eating they don't care if you have restrictions and clearly don't even know what's on their menu to makerecommendations. Tried returning it again and said this has beef on it and his answer was ohhhh your like vegan? WOW Read more

Was craving curry and found this place online. Unfortunately it was a big miss for us. We had the chicken katsu and the pork... katsu. The breading wasn't nice a crisp, the pork was dry, and the curry itself was okay but not outstanding. Read more

I have withdraw symptoms if I don?t come here once a week. Always get the New York Steak curry and karaage. Never disappoint.

I'm a big fan of Japanese curry and enjoy introducing it to people who have never tried it before - it's usually a big hit! I... was excited to try Champion's Curry when I found out it was within walking distance from my home. Well, apparently this is theKanazawa variety of Japanese curry, and it just didn't do it for me. Everything looked good, but the curry was uninspiring, the"tractor" drink tasted watery, and the salsa had me longing for fukujinzuke. It wasn't "bad", but I was left disappointed andunsatisfied. This variety didn't work for me, but maybe you'll love it - give it a go if you want to try a flavor profiledifferent than every other place around here. Read more

Really tasty curry and the Hamburg tasted amazing. Beware the spicy version has a real strong kick. Those who like spiciness... will appreciate it!!! Read more

Champion?s Curry opened its second location, this one in Orange County. It appears that their original location is in Little... Tokyo in LA. This new location finds itself in the Trade Food Hall in Irvine near John Wayne Airport. They have a number ofdishes to choose from, including a few seasonal specials. I went with their classic curry rice dish, ordering the Chicken KatsuCurry. I also got to try the Pork Katsu to compare to the chicken. Both the chicken and pork katsu are very flavorful andserved hot out of the fryer. Their chicken katsu appears to be their main dish, and I do think that it is better than the porkkatsu. Both are very flavorful and juicy, but the chicken is even more so. The chicken retains its moisture giving it good tasteand texture. This is a sign of good frying. The pork is pretty tender and has good flavor, but in my opinion the chicken is astep above and I would order that over the pork every time. Each curry rice dish is served with rice (obviously) and curry (I?mshocked). The curry goes really well with both the rice and katsu, and it is always delicious to dunk the pieces of katsu in thecurry for extra flavor. I ordered a spicy curry, and I wish I didn?t. The flavor of the curry is excellent and I think they do agood job with it. However, I am not a fan of the spice. I normally like a good amount of flavorful spice, but I was not a fan ofthis spice. It was spicier than expected, but the main issue I took is that it is a dry spicy that is very potent in terms offlavor. So most of the delicious beefy notes of the curry is hidden under a layer of dry spice. So I think for a better tastingdish, order the normal curry. There are many other options on the menu to choose from. However, if it isn?t fried or has curry,I wouldn?t bother. That is what they specialize in, so get what they do best. Pro tip, the Trade Food Hall gets a huge lunchrush from near by hungry office workers. Parking during lunch time on a week day is a nightm Read more

Mad delish! I got chicken katsu spicy with egg macaroni salad. It definitely has some kick to it which I liked (not super spicy... but spicy enough) and good portion! Macaroni salad was bomb too. Katsu was nicely cooked, though I ate my food after almost anhour it was made due to the pickup coming out much faster than anticipated plus driving home but that?s my fault. Even then itwas great! Plenty of katsu and rice. Maybe slightly more curry would?ve been nice. Cute containers and utensils. Most def willbe trying other dishes on the menu. Highly recommend! Read more
