We stopped by on our way to Gladstone after a long adventurous day hiking and viewing waterfalls in the western UP. We were... sweaty, muddy, and happily towing along my Australian Shepherd who was somehow not as muddy as her people, but still smelled abit "doggy" if you know what I mean. We chose this pub because they advertised outdoor seating, specifically for all of thereasons I just listed. They did not seem to have a problem with us at all, and they even let us keep our dog with us at thetable outside. Very good food and great prices, the pub is clean and the owners very accommodating. The prime rib tasted like it was soaked in liquid smoke. Way too overpowering. Otherwise it a good cut of meat and tender, just... didn't care for how it was seasoned. Service was average but very friendly. The facility was clean and family friendly. I thinkwe will be back...just not for the prime rib. Read more
First time at Snipe Lake Pub and atmosphere is great but the customer service wasn't. Our bartender on 4/21/18 served us our... first drink fine but if received an order for food we wouldn't see him until it was all done. He should have been checking onthe bar while cooking. Some customers left due to the bartender not coming back out. We were waiting for 15 minutes or longerdepending on how big the order was. We would have stayed longer but it was frustrating. Read more
We both had a lobster roll. It was real lobster but it came out warm with no mayo mixed in. The hoagie roll was way too big for... the amount of lobster in it. The homemade chips were soggy. Staff behind the bar didn't really make you feel they cared if youwere there or not. We won't be going back. Read more
I was with a group of eight men and we came for the Friday Fish Fry. The service was good and the all you can eat fish fry was... also very good. The fish "refills" were quickly delivered. It seems like this is a popular spot with the local Iron River areafolks. There was a mix of customers present from a couple of families with young children to more mature couples. I wasdisappointed that they did not have Malt Vinegar available for the fried fish. Perhaps not commonly used in this region, manyof you will miss that condiment. The only real negative comment was the surprise on my check that I was charged a second fullprice for a refill of my soft drink. The server failed to mention that refills were not available (It is not a REFILL if youpay full price). Read more
Had dinner here last two nights. Nice menu and good food. Nicely decorated. Friday night fish fry with no wait was a plus.... Doesn?t hurt it?s only a 1/2 mile down the road. Definitely recommend. Read more
