The only good thing is our waitress was very nice! We ordered and got another people's food. Then they brought us our orders,... my steak burrito and steak enchilada were both ground beef. Red sauce instead of green. All the food was cold, rice was crunchy.They also gave me a cheese enchilada instead of chicken. Kind of annoying. Also got the toppings wrong. The waitress said themanager was running the kitchen, which made a lot of sense. All the food was wrong and I was sick of hassling my waitress to fixthe messed up stuff. Finally my bill! I got charged $12.15 instead of the $9.25 I was supposed to be charged for the Sundayspecial. I was so sick of working with the waitress to fix stuff I just gave her a twenty and asked for change. She brought me$7.00. My girlfriend and I were so done we just walked out and laughed about everything on the way to the car. It was straightup comically bad. As a man who has been to restaurants and worked in customer service I will say this: In my experience the one redeeming quality... they have is they make a pretty good burrito but with every bread comes butter. When I was there on my birthday in the eveningit was loud and chaotic. In a town full of youngsters they give you a free shot on your birthday if your over 21 wile yoursurrounded by under age drinkers. The only reason I came back during lunch next year is because they don?t have a lot ofrestaurants with burritos in Iowa city and when I did I had to get the severs attention when he was slacking of and flirtingwith a group of girls who were like literally the only people who were there. And when I did he came up with the worst coverstory I?ve heard saying he was tired that morning and had to get up early. I had to get his attention again when I was doneeating. he was joking and swearing with the same group. His cover story did not change when he came to collect my payment and itwas pretty obvious that he had four hours to drink coffee when he arrived to work. Read more
Absolutely AWFUL!!! Arrived around 6 PM and no one there so we thought "oh score!" Never have we been so wrong! We now... realize why no one was there. Service was S-O S-L-O-W. Ordered Cuervo Gold margaritas and they tasted like they were in apitcher full of ice all afternoon....yuck. after telling the staff they explained to us that "that is how these are with thegood tequila....and almost straight tequilla" ...I'm pushing 60 and they thought they would pull the wool over our eyes. So weordered regular margaritas.... They tasted exactly the same! And most times when I order a $10 jumbo marg I walk away with atleast a nice little buzz but not this one....and half of my wife's since she couldn't drink it cuz it tasted so badly watereddown. The food arrived and after FINALLY getting silverware and napkins the food was cold and then I snapped at the waitressasking for a box to take mine home to warm it up so I could eat it....our Daughter did not even get what she ordered and we justleft that there along with my wife's chimichanga that was not good enough to box up. The waitress told us a manager would bein later to discuss and offered no credit of any kind for the wrong order or the cold plate or the terrible marks. I was NOTgoing to wait around for a manager to show up so paid bill in full and told waitress she should find a better place ofemployment. The outdoor patio was filthy.....which attracted tons of Flies. The place left such a bad taste in my mouth thatI don't see myself ever eating in downtown Iowa City again.....noticed dirty trashy sidewalks walking back to car. Service was fine. Red salsa not so fine. Meal was really delicious so it made up for the ok setting. We may have had a better... time if we could have taken advantage of the driving menu. Read more
Sunday, Sophie, and Kesha are the best waitresses in the Midwest 10/10 experience and best drinks in iowa city if I could live... at cactus 3 I would and eat queso 24/7 with my vodka Red Bull?s. Top class experience. Read more
My son ordered a steak and it was the worst piece of meat I've ever tasted in my life. It literally tasted like it was spoiled &... rotten. On the other hand, my boyfriend & I enjoyed our seafood dishes. The chips & salsa are okay and the service was alright. Read more
Cactus three is a roll of the dice. Every experience is different. I've never been dissatisfied. What will cactus 3 bring you?... Who knows. All I can say is that I love it. All of it. Also their bathrooms are clean and I have a really nice waitress now Read more
A 14 year old drunk off two shots of fireball asked for our order 4 times and kept losing his paper. Good time
