I simply LOVE soft shell crabs. Usually, I have to travel about an hour to find them, but I heard, right here on Google Maps,... about Fisherman's Cove, AND that they have soft shell crabs, AND THEY'RE ONLY 10 MINUTES FROM MY HOME! So, of course I had togive them a try. I called a few hours before I actually wanted dinner, simply because I was so excited and wanted to make surethey really DID have soft shells. Well, they did, and I am in HEAVEN! The person that took my phone order was so very nice, gaveme options such as potato, I ordered... and then waited with baited breath (pun intended) for my first visit to Fisherman'sCove. It will NOT be my last! When I walked into the restaurant (10 minutes early) I was a bit surprised at the lovely, homeyatmosphere inside the small building. As I walked it I was greeted multiple times, first front the bar, then from the tablearea, and as I passed the open kitchen I was again greeted by the chef himself, busily working on food orders. Friendliestrestaurant I have walked into in YEARS! My order, even though placed hours earlier, was still be prepared (remember, I was stillearly), so I sat at the bar and waited for my order to be finished. I was taken by all the perfect sliced of multiple kinds ofcakes and pie sitting in the dessert display, and the waitress informed me that they were all made right there. NEXT time Iintend to make room to try one of those pieces of cheesecake! At the time I had requested my pick up, my food was delivered tomy excited hands, and I came home to try out the food. The soft shells were scrumptious, the hush puppies divine, the bakedsweet potato was melt in your mouth good with cinnamon butter, the coleslaw was the perfect blend of sweet/vinegar, and I was inseafood heaven! Now, I ordered an early dinner, 3:30 on a Wednesday, but as I sat there at the bar, other diners were arrivingand by the time I left there were multiple cars arriving. So this is a popular dinner spot. I also neglected Read more

Wonderful experience, great food and service. Pork Chops were juicy and perfectly cooked. Oh my goodness you should order the... Sweet Potato side, beyond delicious! The fried green tomatoes were home made and not pre made, yum. Homemade hot bread with amouth watering butter to start (don?t eat too much) was take home worthy. We could not eat any of the many homemade desserts sowe took one to Go ! A return is in our future! Read more

It was a decent place. Pretty clean and maintained. Food was decent nothing special to talk about. Service was good. I gave it a... 3 cause the bathroom was muggy and hot no a/c and the food was decent. We had coconut shrimp, peel n eat and Buffalo Bleu cheeseshrimp. The sauce for the Buffalo Bleu cheese was good. We got gator bites for an app they were chewy and fishy tasting. Theyhad homemade cakes we got banana walnut and German chocolate. The German chocolate was hard and dry and the banana walnut had somuch moisture it tasted like a smooshed banana. Overall I prefer better food and dessert but not a bad place to stop. Read more

Oh my goodness...this place is amazing!! We happened to find it during our travels and are so glad we did. It's a bit unassuming... from the outside. Inside...so cool!! Love the decor and the view to the patio. Dana was our server...sweet, helpful andfunny. The food was really good and we appreciated the option to choose healthier options for our sides. He got the groopercheeks and I got the coconut shrimp that tasted good there and even later when we finished them. The Keylime pie...wow!! Wishwe'd found this place earlier in our journeys. I don't know where the good reviews came from. Decided to try this restaurant after reading decent reviews. Probably worst... tasting Seafood I had in a while or ever. Buffalo Shrimp was average, sauce was so strong that it was hard to eat withoutcringing. Crab hushpuppies didn't seem to have any crab in them so that was a waste of money. Potatoes and coleslaw had noflavor. Our friends had soft shell crabs and grilled cheese sandwich and didn't like it. Everything was over fried. The worstwas my husband's grilled fish, it tasted so fishy that I told him to send it back but he suffered through it somehow adding lotsof sauce from my Buffalo Shrimp. Mango cheesecake didn't taste good. Waitress was nice but would not return due to food. Read more
