Although the sign outside says serving by reservation they have no mention online. When entering inside, the staff was rude and... told me they only have 1 cook so they couldn't serve any food or drinks! Yes drinks apparently require the cooks attention aswell although the bartender had no issue serving a seated guest. They had plenty of seats available, why I wasn't offeredservice is beyond me, perhaps they didn't like my appearance? Read more
Local legend that lives up to its reputation in every way. Superb food and drink served up with great Adirondack hospitality in... a classic relaxing setting. True vacation experience. Easy access, good parking, plenty of seating. Great bar. Our waiter(Jacob) was great/part of the floor show. Read more

The Holt family has owned and operated the 7th Lake House for 35 years, give or take a few. It had always been one of my... favorites for fine dining in this part of the Adirondacks for many years until about 6 years ago or so, when I had a veryindifferent meal there. I stopped going until late August this summer and now have been back two more times so far. I canhappily report that 7th Lake has reclaimed their crown as the best restaurant in this area, much like Beethoven's 7th soars overhis other 8 symphonies. Appetizers recently eaten include the famous Turkey Toes, homemade Salsa with chips and pan searedbrussel sprouts with maple syrup. With your entree you can select a small caesar salad or crab bisque soup for an additional $2(both are great). Entrees recently sampled include the House Famous Meatloaf, Brazilian Pork and Shrimp Zydeco. Long timestandard, The Cowboy Steak is still on the menu and was always a favorite. The interior is really nice with blonde wood, whitewalls and nice photos. The wait staff and Jeff, the long term mixologist, are all top notch. The owner's daughter, Courtney isone of the waitresses and one of the best. Tonight they had a full house with a fire in the fire place....doesn't get muchbetter! Read more
Everything was absolutely delicious and was a complete surprise. Was our last night of 9 days in the Inlet/Old Forge area. Our... waitress was attentive and friendly. I had the smoked trout appetizer. My wife had the stuffed olive leaves. She had a Caprisalad and the ginger/carrot soup. Everything was delicious. I had the strip steak special and it was perfection in a plate.Great wine and beer and cocktail selection as well. Our daughter had the Cowboy steak and it was also perfect. It was anextremely humid night and the outdoor seating was very warm. Only negative was the size of the restrooms. There is no possibleway a person requiring special accommodations could possibly use the restroom. Read more
Inlet and Old Forge were in full bloom... Two of my favorites are the art studio and the wood shop....
