Not too sure whats going on at Puerto Nuevo with the food but something has changed to make me rethink this place as my go to... for breakfast. The service and staff are always friendly and thats a big plus in todays climate, but the breakfast burrito hastwice gotten me sick. The last time it was a turkey sausage and after a couple of bites I had to throw it away. Thinking that itwas just something else that didnt sit right with me I didnt think it was the breakfast. A few weeks later (today) I tried theregular sausage breakfast burrito, and I didnt feel right again. I opened the burrito and it wasnt cooked thru, Its suppose tocome with home fries (diced or chunky cooked potatoes), but this was some hash brown type monstrosity that was not cooked allthe way, some were clunked together while other parts were solid, the eggs and what I guess is the cheese didnt look rightether. Im going to have to stay away from the place and hope that they get better cooks and prepare the items better Read more
They have great everything and very traditional about the plates they serve, great meat choices and customer service they are... very friendly and will sub things out if possible with no worries. The food?s good, the service leaves a LOT to be desired. The cashier didn?t make eye contact even when she brought me sour... cream. I wish I could give them 100 stars! The food here is amazing but what made it better for me was the people. I was down in LA for... work the past few months and I ate here very frequently for breakfast. They were so sweet every single time. They then startedto remember me by my order and were so welcoming. Been searching for a place with good chorizo and eggs that ALSO serves Chicken wings. This place hit the spot. Their house hot... sauce was nice and hot. The servers were nice and the old timers sitting and talking made the atmosphere perfect. Only downsideswas my rice and beans were barely kinda cold. I had a high expectation for this place but it did not meet them. The sausage looks out of place-please see pic Huevos rancheros... were to be cooked over easy....well, please refer to the pic of the yolk. I can say that the natural juices, although about $2over priced, are great. Read more
We eat breakfast here about 3 times per week. The staff are professional and friendly, and the food is always freshly prepared.... Just love sitting out in the mornings after our walk just watching the day begin! Read more
