The Hulman was mostly excellent. Terrific wine by the glass selection, decent service, and great food. Staff were overall... excellent but i felt we could have been checked in on some more. No one there knows my halibut was subpar (though if they readthis they then will i suppose), and it\'s not because i didn\'t want to tell them. More on the halibut in a moment.\nWe had 6 ofthe 7 small plates and all were outstanding. Of the large plates, i can comment on the halibut. It had a terrific skinless crustand nice presentation, but was too dry on the inside.\nDessert was good, not spectacular.\nThe gentlemen who checked me in whenwe arrived somehow remembered my name as we left hours later. We very much enjoyed my birthday dinner at The Hulman. It was our first visit to The Hulman. We went mid-week so it wasn.t... crowded...bonus!\nThe food was amazing and unique and the server was fabulous! It’s a fine place with beautiful ambience. They have a great bar and sorted out drink menu. The service is exceptional. Menu... has couple of vegetarian options and they are nice. We loved the bread and the Aranchini from the appetisers. As it was rainingon that day, it made it even more delicious. It is creamy and crunchy. The Pumpkin pasta from entree is good. A little moresauce and few extra minutes of cooking would have made it perfect. Our host was really nice. On a busy night she managed tohandle everyone with utmost ease. Exceptional food in a really nice ambiance. Some of the staff are fantastic - some are on a different planet! Still no idea why... it took half an houir to get two drinks from the bar. Could be really great if they sort out the service. Read more
The Hulman restaurant is absolutely FANTASTIC for dinner. Lauren (our server) was delightful and some of our best service all... weekend. We had the oysters which were terrific and the halibut was savory and light! The flatiron stake was good, IMHO justmissing a little something to make it pop, but otherwise excellently prepared. I loved the ambience and service at the restaurant. The place gets busy after 6:30, so reservations are recommended. There is... coat check available.\n\nWe started with Gluten and Dairy and the breads were delicious, so was the locally sourced butter. TheBlack Truffle Aranchini was delicate and lovely to eat. For it\'s richness, the portion size was appropriate. The Autumn SquashMezzaluna tasted good, but needed 5 more minutes in the water to make it perfect along with a bit more sauce. I was sad to seethe Cauliflower with Madras Spice out of the menu though. I hope they bring it back.\n\nOverall a really good restaurant withgood service and food. Read more
I fell in love with this place! Every menu that I ordered tasted fantastic! The place is very stylish, not too loud and classy.... I highly recommend this place for Hoosiers who are running out of options of high end dining. (Price is more reasonable thansome of local restaurants) Read more
This place has some of the best food in downtown Indy, very friendly! Service and food is 10 out of 10.\nEggplant Sandwich is... probably the best I have ever had.\nVery cool modern place, Wife and I went there for lunch and it wasn’t busy at all! Read more
