Came to Indianapolis for a work trip, and picked this place to go to for dinner. Couldn't have been happier that we did. The... place has a fantastic aesthetic as a little hole in the wall. The food (Patagonian Shrimp) was, without a doubt, one of the bestthings I have ever eaten. The bartender was chatting with us, cracking jokes, and a joy to be around. He set a great andcheerful tone, and made good drinks to boot. Towards the end of the end of the evening we got introduced to the owner, who gaveus an incredible tour, and talked to us about the history of the establishment and the city. Honestly this place was thehighlight of our trip, and I'll be bragging about it for ages. Read more

Exceptional experience all around - from the quality of the food and the friendliness of the service, this is one of downtown?s... best kept secrets. Having visited the Elbow Room many years past, I was happy to see this place has successfully carried on thelegacy and exceeded that of its predecessor. We will certainly return! Read more

This is it. Here it is. That absolute gem of a restaurant that just exceeds expectations in every way possible. Having been... to all the major steakhouses and power restaurants downtown, I wasn?t expecting much walking in the door. But?I just foundIndy?s best kept secret. It?s classy yet casual. Elegant and old fashioned yet contemporary and modern. A perfect place fordate night or to impress some friends or clients. Open kitchen where you can see (and smell) your food prepared?all fromscratch?from the owner and his team. And it was literally some of the best food I?ve ever had. My steak was utter perfection, the sides paired perfectly, and the cocktails were expertly made. And if they let you in on the secret downstairs, prepare tobe blown away. Just gotta know the passcode! This old staple in Indy which used to be "The Elbow Room" is such a great restaurant, I had lunch and Dinner in the same day. I... am mad we didn't visit before now! Terra was so nice and helpful with making our selections! We started with Alfredo Fries withPork Belly and Bacon, Espresso Martini and Black Berry Vodka Lemonade. For our Main Course we had Buffalo Chicken Wrap andHousemade Chips and Lobster Bisque Soup and fresh made bread! Everything was delightful delicate and great flavor! We willdefinitely be back! Xavier made the experience. He effortlessly matched the vibe of the restaurant, checked in exactly when needed, and made an... incredible smoked old fashioned. The chef made literally the best salmon I?ve ever had and did it in plain view of the diningroom. An absolutely incredible find. Ask about dessert - the espresso chocolate cake I had did not disappoint. Read more

I chose this place as the pre-game (dinner, drinks, and live music) portion of my friend's (of 25 years) bachelorette party. It... was everyone's first time visiting. It will NOT be our last (but). The food was GREAT! I called ahead, spoke with two veryhelpful ladies (one was the owner). They made everything special just as they promised when I called. The service was attentiveand warm. The bride was so happy and that was my ultimate goal. The ONE exception to our night was that everyone's initialcocktail was underwhelming. They seemed, to all of us, to be lacking alcohol. I am only an occasional drinker and even my drinkseemed quite weak. We brought this concern to the attention of our server who took the matter up with the bartender, Julian.Julian is singlehandedly the reason this review is missing a star. Rather than simply make us new drinks or even just come overto apologize, Julian came to the table with the extremely off-putting demeanor of arrogance. He initially implied that somethingmust be wrong with our reasoning. Julian then went the unbelievable distance of suggesting that the problem could be that we all"must be used to drinking doubles." Excuse you! I spent the next ten minutes mediating between Julian and the reasonablyoffended bridesmaids, and also redirecting Julian. Eventually, Julian accepted that his approach was offensive and that heshould have approached with a listening ear instead of attempting to be quick-witted and defensive. He did ultimately apologizeand offered to make us new drinks. All but two of us declined. We simply were no longer interested. To the credit of the Chef, the servers and the overall establishment, the Chef visited our table to express his concern for our satisfaction. He apologizedand showed sincere interest in making things right. Fortunately, we had been able to get back on track with Julian toward theend of our conversation. The night was not ruined. The food, friendly service, and beautiful atmosp Read more

We loved this restaurant. It has got a nice vibe to it as you enter. Everything we are was delicious. Started with some fries... and a vegetarian flatbread. Both were well made. The fries were perfect by themselves, but the chef also have us complementarybrussel sprouts which was perfectly seasoned and crisp. Our pesto pasta and vegetables were cooked well and the Cheesecake atthe end was a lovely way to finish the dinner. If you want to avoid crowds and want your food quickly, weekdays are the best. Wewould definitely be back. Read more
