Best-kept lunch secret in Indy! Locally-owned Subito raises the bar for lunch places. Gourmet-level soups, salads & sandwiches... without the pretensiousness - or prices - of other places that call themselves "gourmet." Everybody from the owner (Chuck, whoyou'll usually see when you're there) to the dishwasher is super friendly and super dedicated to giving you the most deliciousmeal humanly possible. At Subito, they clearly love and take a lot of pride in what they do ...and they don't skimp on thequality of their ingredients, either. The soups and sandwiches are super good! I can't think of anything they could do better. I wish they were open in the evenings... because I would be there in a heart beat. This is the perfect place to pick up a meal and go. I would recommend this restaurantto anyone working in the area. Read more
I was downtown for work randomly and was looking around for a place to have lunch. This place was nearby so I tried the turkey... pesto sandwich and the pork ginger noodle soup. The soup was fantastic?lots of good chunks of pork and a nice heat from theginger. The sandwich came out warm with melted mozzarella and pesto all over. It got a bit messy, but it was awesome. I've eaten a lot of food over my 35 years of life and now that Subito is among the food I've eaten, I can die happy. I had the... turkey pesto sandwich and the loaded potato soup (with every toping). The sandwich was a symphony of flavors that did notoverwhelm. The soup was delicious in a way that is was understated yet filled with bass just rattling through my mouth. Nothingin the food was sharp or overpowering it all blended together like a great piece of music and I'd love to go back again when Ihave the opportunity. Great places stay open because of great staff, I was only in the restaurant for a mere minute but theenergy of the staff seemed great. Not a foul mood to be seen. Subito has been on my list to try for awhile because of its high ratings and it definitely lived up them! I will be a repeat... customer! Always here for a soup and salad combo so I ordered a Caesar salad and cup of loaded potato soup. You can telleverything is homemade with fresh, quality ingredients. They offer a variety of salads, sandwiches, and soups. It?s a smallshop, carry out only so no seating which was fine for me because I like to take my lunch back to the office. There were probably15 people standing/ordering so I wasn?t sure how long I would have to wait for my order but it was out in a quick 5 minutes!Every worker there was moving fast and hard to get orders out. Ah, good to eat here again! It?s been a while since I last ordered from Subito, back when I worked across the street. Now I?m... at a new workplace downtown a short walk away. Everything ordered is just as delicious as my previous visits! Today I wentwith a Walla (ham on Swiss), an old favorite that?s made to perfection! On the side I had mac & cheese, made nice n? creamywithout being overly rich as some places make it, and a light hit of black pepper. Despite ordering and coming in during a busylunch rush, my meal was ready within 10 minutes. The staff were peppy and courteous to all customers today as well. Althougha small shop, the interior is well kept with some artsy decor. A great choice for lunch in downtown Indy! Read more
