Reviews for Love Handle in Indianapolis, IN
If I can cut their fried chicken with a plastic knife without sawing through it, they're doing everything right!!! It's... absolutely delicious! Fried chicken and gravy and grits are all phenomenal!! Read more
We got 2 meals the fried green tomato sandwich was wonderful. The biscuits and gravy were terrible. Maybe made with non dairy... not sure and the biscuits were not fluffy and a bit hard. Atmosphere was just ok reminded me of a flea market dining area. Price are high $$$. Read more
We stopped by for brunch and the experience was amazing. We got the brisket, egg, and grits; smoked chicken salad sandwich; and... fried chicken and waffles breakfast plate; also coffee, it was all spectacular. I would highly recommend this for anyone lookingfor a great meal with a unique atmosphere. Service was also very friendly. Read more
Take a step back to the 90s. This little restaurant has the perfect mix of 90s retro to make you feel like you?ve taken a ride... through time with Doc and Marty. The food is fantastic, the country catfish breakfast is a great blend of gravy and spices thatreally slap. 10/10, you?ve really missed out if you come to Indy and don?t at least get breakfast here! Pretty cool place- very down home and nostalgic vibes! The breakfast sando was amazing and the crispy chicken was perfectly... juicy and crisp. The fries were awesome and very crispy and I liked how they were diverse sizes. The rainbow chard biscuits andgravy were alright, a little spicy and not a ton a ton of flavors/textures, tasted pretty vegan. The service was friendly andfast, you order at the front and sit down. They were playing old movies from vhs on a projector. Overall a vibe and would comeback for more of the meat dishes and fries :) Read more
Yesterday on my wacky 1200 miles in 18 hours of driving I managed to find a brief stoppage in the rain for lunch which had been... on my radar for a while. As a fan of milktoothindy I am always interested in new and creative dishes so Love Handle did notdisappoint. The pork belly sandwich with chimmichuri mayo, marinated turnip and pickled red onion was excellent with a runnyegg added. The savory flavors combined well with the crispy pork belly. For a side I went with the hand cut fries with a smokedeggplant gravy. The egg plant was great compliment and brought forward some great flavors. Once again this proves thatIndianapolis is a foodie city that is off a lot of people's radars. When I talk about food I tell everyone to check out thiscity because there is a lot of special things going on with the food scene. When you come make sure to check out Love Handle. Read more
You could walk right past this local gem if you weren't looking for it and that would be unfortunate. I get the feeling that... everything on the menu is worth a try, and don't be fooled?this is not a static menu...this thing changes and develops. I gotthe waffle, egg, and brisket. The waffle is certainly the star of the show, so stop by watch a flick and eat something delicious????. Next time the Poutine is happening... I am so excited !!! Read more
Small little breakfast place where biscuits and gravy is the main dish. I had the vegetarian cheesy jalapeno ones. The setup is... fast food restaurant style where you order at the counter, but they still bring the food to your table. I liked the place. Whenwe got there at 9:45 on a Sunday morning it was quite empty but when we left there was already a line. Parking is free onSundays. Read more
