Food was good. I found too many small bone fragments in my chicken sandwich.
Tuesday for rib tip dinner. Very good, filling, and I ask for the mixed sauce on the side.
Great food, this last visit my ribs had a lot of fat on them and the macaroni was bland but they usually do... better..........update, don't know what happened but they are closed at odd hours and it is a shame when you try and supportyour local black business and they can't answer the phone or post the correct hours of operation. Every time I travel to Indy, I have to get some. Theres something about these rib tips that are all off the bone tender and... sauce the perfect blend of tangy and sweet. They know what they're doing because you don't taste any lighter fluid. I dontusually get sides, just tips. Already cant wait to go back! Read more
Not a fan of king ribs.... Again... I tried this place in the past and was not impressed. I tried it again tonight in hopes... that I would be impressed.. it wasn't worth it. Other than the service which was quick (although no one else was there) thefood again wasn't even close to some of the other amazing spots in the city. I got tips and half a rack. The tips areprimarily fat,not cut well and 50% burnt.(not the good kind either) The ribs were on par with that as well. Mac and cheesetasted old and was basically mush. The sauce is entirely too sweet and there was also a tremendous amount too. Lemme taste theribs man! I won't be returning. Read more
I ordered the rib dinner (Sunday special) but ended up with tips instead. While the tips were more tender than I usually end up... with, I really wanted to try the ribs. Kinda disappointing, but sauce was good & plenty of it. Also, I didn't notice he didn'tput any bread in, even tho he was asking everyone else 'white or wheat?'. Sweet potato pie was overcooked, couldn't really tastefilling. Not sure how soon I'll be back, may have to head back to 16th st location...they have greens but not here. Read more
