My bf and I had a wonderful experience here for his birthday! Several people including the waiter, manager and the regional... manager wished him a happy birthday and we were both super appreciative of this and it made my bf's birthday that much morespecial. There was also a card at the table that said happy birthday and was signed by multiple employees. This is a more fancyand upscale restaurant in which we dressed accordingly. A gentleman played the piano and sang songs that most would be familiarwith, it made the ambiance more enjoyable. We sat at a booth which I had requested when I made the reservations. Our waiterHowie was nice and helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious and took no time to come out. My bf loved his steak and I lovedthe Chilean sea bass wt the butter sauce. The sides of mashed potatoes and mushroom & spinach was wonderful. Even the cocktailswere great. We finished off our meal with the largest slice of carrot cake I've ever seen in my life. It was amazing though andcan definitely recommend. This place is pricey for sure but to me it was worth it for the overall experience. Read more
This was our first time trying this restaurant and I did read the reviews. It's a higher end establishment and we were ordinary... via delivery so we started off with the cheeseburger, fries, onion straws. We order medium well. Not burnt. Omg not charred -burnt and what tooled it off the cheese was placed on the side that was burnt ???? so we were like that's OK we can scrape thatoff & add our own cheese; however, the inside was not cooked. I called the restaurant to inform them and they were closed. Ohhow I wanted this to be good. I was dying to try the steak next but if this is something you do with hamburgers I am suspiciousnow. ???? Anniversary dinner and felt like the red carpet was rolled out just for us! Stan is an amazing Manager and personable! He... answered all of our first timer questions with a smile! D.W. was an excellent server! The cocktail shrimp was slightlyovercooked but well seasoned!! The Brussel sprouts are amazing! The spinach and mushrooms were good but would be 10/10 withoutthe stems of the spinach. My medium well steak was absolutely 10/10. Flavor,feel and presentation were superb! The onion strawswas a nice touch. That chef loves his garlic. Pieces were big enough to remove. Our drinks had a neatest delivery we have everexperienced!! The white pear and an old fashion(no cherry ) is a staple for us now! The carrot cake was a tower. Sadly it wasn'tmoist. Great presentation and wow factor. Then we were gifted a s'mores dessert. Such a comfy atmosphere. Personal customer service was off the charts from getting greeted by valet staff and host staff to the... impeccable service AND timing and service team, that most definitely includes management involvement and sense of actualmanagement of a fine tuned restaurant! Kudos to the kitchen staff for mastering their craft! The bartenders were knowledgeableand rocked their bar with major skills. The staff had our table specially decorated with a hand addressed card, candle and rosepetals. It was such a welcoming treat for our anniversary. We were each given a complimentary sushi sample right after weordered a beverage. I would most certainly come to Hyde Park just for the sushi sometime. The Lobster Escargot Style was anamazing appitizer. The crostini soaked in the garlic parsley butter was just soo wonderful! I could eat endless plates of thatdeliciousness! We have had their steaks before which were pleasant perfection, however, both my hubby and I have trouble witheating steak so now have to go for other options (TMI? Sorry!). The Salmon Filet was moist, flaky and very flavorful with mashedpotatoes ordered off the Early Nights Menu. My husband went for the Chicken Milanese with asparagus off the Early Nights Menu.He loved the tenderness and flavors. The portion was generous. We brought home extras. I loved it reheated the next day aswell. At the end of the meal we were treated with a complimentary light S'mores dessert for our Anniversry. That was such asweet and pleasant treat! We then moved to the bar for more celebratory hand crafted cocktails. We thoroughly enjoyed everysingle second of our special night. We enjoyed it so much that my husband, being the generous and kind man he is, brought around of drinks for the table of lovely ladies in town for a big dance competition, sitting behind us. First time there was tonight. The service was the best I'd ever had, the food was simply amazing and can not be touched by any... other restaurant. Everything is planned out and food delivered perfectly. The chefs come out to greet you and the servers areon point. 10/10 totally will go again. I will add one thing. If you want to eat on a budget, this is not the place for you. Good food and service comes at a price. However I will tell you that it is worth EVERY PENNY! The valet service is a hiredcompany and they are not affiliated with Hyde park and because of that I will give them a 2/10. They got gum stuck on my floormat and said it wasn't them, the valet also demanded a tip. Read more
Top notch everything here! Best downtown spot to eat or just grab cocktails. This place closed down for awhile but opened back... up bigger and better then ever. We truly enjoyed our visit this past weekend. Our server Shearyl was spot on and we appreciated her attentiveness . The floor... manager also checked in on us which speaks of great service as well. My partner ordered the Hyde Wedge and I went for theLobster Bisque, which was very flavorful. The 8 ounce Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly and the two 4 ounce lobster tails addedon were also full of flavor. The pricing was right in line with a high end steak establishment in my mind except perhaps thedrinks. I thought a bit overpriced. That and unfortunately our seating location right by the bar, kitchen and restrooms made therating only a 4 star. I am real glad we checked out Hyde Park as has definitely been on my list to visit.
