I?ll start with the good-the food was AMAZING!! My husband got the ?risk it for the brisket? and I got the beyond burger. I... really wanted to take my husband here because he loves brisket. Again the food was the best part of our visit. Now, the bad. Wevisited on a Saturday afternoon between 12:30-2pm. When we entered there were several empty tables throughout the restaurant.Our hostess took us to the table right by the door. As soon as we were seated the server that was taking orders at the tablenext to our table says very loudly to the hostess ?I can?t take another table, I have too many. Can you seat them somewhereelse?? The server even interrupted the young man who was putting in his order for food to tell her that. I didn?t get thehostesses response because I was concerned about the server being so rude and displeased about my husband and I being seated inhis section. From what I could see he had the table he was currently waiting on, the table that my husband and I were at and oneother table near the end of the bar that had people sitting at them. The server visited the table next to us several times andnever acknowledged us as we sat for 20 minutes waiting for another server to come to our table. Rico was assigned to our tableand he was wonderful. He immediately apologized for us having to wait and for the server that was unwilling to wait on us. I didnotice that after we got our appetizer another couple was seated on the other side of the table immediately to our left. Thiswas the same table that the server cut off one of the guests ordering their food to tell the hostess to seat my husband and Isomewhere else. The server that rejected us because he had too many tables didn?t seem to have a problem waiting on this coupleand as far as I could tell, no other tables in this server?s section had left the restaurant. wow!!! My mother, brother and I had such a great experience here! The grilled cheese was excellent and unique, with hints of... honey/apple and delicious cheese on sourdough bread.The pretzel cheese dip was also amazing. The waitress was very kind andhelpful. Definitely coming back!! Read more

Order was missing items and was able to consume paper/plastic that was left in between the cheese and the beef. Bad experience... overall. Order was made through Uber Eats delivered Friday. Had three bites of the burger Friday. Saved for Saturday when I wasworking 12 hours when I noticed the issue after my first bite Saturday leftovers. Never received the mac and cheese w/ my orderon Friday which I promptly contacted Uber. I understand mistakes are made but 1 minor and 1 major in the same order is verydisappointing. This is one of those places that I like, but they are definitely suffering from a staffing shortage. We came in on a Tuesday... evening and waited 20 minutes for the only waitress that was working the entire restaurant to help us. Not ideal when you havetwo little kids with you. Outside of the staffing issues, the food was quite good. The street corn appetizer was great, and Ireally liked my Mahi tacos. The beer menu is also impressive, with a good mix of local and national craft beers. The placeitself is huge, which probably made the staffing issue feel worse. There is limited street parking, so parking in the garage fora few bucks is probably your best option. Read more
Our service was terrible but the food was good. We had to send the fries back after asking 3 times for them to be dropped... fresh.. we also recieved the wrong burgers the first time around and the cheese sauce was forgotten. Also, the server/bartendhad NO idea what beers she had or anything about veer for that matter and was quick to tell us that instead of finding someoneelse to help. Luckily another server came to the rescue to help and she was great although I do not remember her name :( . However, our issue was very quickly addressed by the manager and he made everything right and gave my boyfriend the shirt he hadtried to purchase while we were there. The manager really dealt with the situation in a timely and acceptable manner. Read more
Husband and I came in for Lunch this weekend and were NOT disappointed! Everything from the service to the presentation and... taste of the food were excellent and exceed our expectations! We?d heard rave reviews of Hopcat from several friends and I?m soglad you gave it a try! Our Server Rico was awesome gave excellent recommendations when we asked a few questions. All the foodwas fresh and very tasty! We got their pizza roll app, highly recommended! We also got the cowboy burger and tender meals, bothwere so delicious! The cosmik fries were my fave part!! HopCat is a tried and true dining experience! Whenever we can't decide on what to get Hopcat is always a contender. I can't... believe I didn't leave a review from my first ever experience years ago... the waitress was SO kind and attentive, and took timeto know what taste in beer I might like. I asked her to just bring me one based on what she thinks I'd like and it wasPERFECT. Since then, we've had nothing but good food and still friendly faces every time. As of Aug 2022 the cosmic fries onour most recent visit seemed a little off... like just barely rubbery and seemed like it was missing one of the seasonings theyused to use. But we couldn't pin point it. Otherwise, still some of our very fave fries in the city! Read more
