I decided to eat here because I pass it up daily and there's always a full parking lot. I got stuffed mushrooms, cube steak... special and a margarita. The mushrooms were delicious and margarita was good. Food presentation was great but the cube steak wasquestionable. The meat fell apart and looks like spam once you cut it. It squished in your mouth almost like pâté. I'vecooked cube steak several different ways and never had it like this. I ended up eating only the potatoes and green beans. Thewaitress was really nice. Not sure if I'll go back. Read more

They have the audacity to charge $13 for this “buffalo chicken sandwich. No pickles, and only half of the breast was ... “buffalo”. Not to mention the fries were soggy and old. First and last time ordering from this place Read more

We’ve lived half a mile from Grindstone Charley’s for 10 years. We used to dine in and carry out frequently. This past year... it has gone so downhill. I don’t know if it’s the GM, kitchen staff, or bad training. We’ve rarely had successfully carryout experiences. It started as mainly just forgotten items/items coming out wrong. Lately it’s been all of that and badlycooked food. Complaints are met with either arguments or a so what attitude. When we called corporate after a particularly awfulexperience they were very apologetic and mailed us a gift card. Today was the last straw. I always order the French onion soup, pretty much the only reason we order from here. The picture attached is the Swiss cheese. Cold. And obviously not melted. Thebroth was cold. I don’t know how it passed the cooks hands to expo to carryout without someone noticing. My son’s Alfredopenne was ice cold along with the mashed potatoes. We didn’t want to give up on this place. It used to be amazing. Greatservice, hot and fresh quality food. We know that mistakes happen but this is almost constant. I really hope they reevaluatetheir establishment and get to the root of the issues or they’re going to lose more long term customers. Read more

Stopped here on our way through Indiana specifically for the breaded tenderloin sandwich. It was very good! The first sandwich... they brought me (pic) had excess breading that fell off as soon as I went to cut it in half. And the tenderloin part itself wasno larger than the bun. I did ask for a new one which the lovely waitress was more than happy to do. The 2nd one came out muchbetter. Nice crunchy breading, tenderloin was just the right thickness, juicy and tender. The bun was excellent as well, freshand soft. I got the sweet potato fries which were very good. Only complaint I have is the restrooms were in dire need of a goodcleaning! They were disgusting. Hands down the best food, service, and ambiance we could ever have hoped for. We were all set to order our usual fare, but Miss... Taylor recommended the pork tenderloin, and we decided to trust her recommendation. Wow! I had a feeling it was going to begood, but I had no idea it was going to be legendary! We ordered the country tenderloin plate; I had mashed potatoes, and myhusband Joe had a baked potato. We both had green beans. The flavor, texture, and temperature were perfect! I asked for extralemon wedges and a side of thousand island dressing, which made my tenderloin tasty and tangy. Joe ordered apple strudel fordessert, and I wanted to try the sugar cream pie. Best dessert ever! I just got an excellent job offer, so we're going to bemoving from South Florida to South Bend, Indiana on July 1st, and we now have a new favorite dinner. Miss Taylor was so friendlyand fun to talk to, and Mitchell also made us feel right at home. We're going to wake up extra early on the day of our flighthome so we can have lunch here and order our new favorite dish. 5 stars overall, but only because there's no such thing as 6. Read more
