Came here for an early dinner after strolling around a museum for a few hours. If you like Greek food, you won't be... disappointed. Started with the saganaki, which is always a visual treat when ignited. Who doesn't like fried cheese? Thepastitsio was great! Basically a Greek version of lasagne. The gyros weren't pretty decent, too. Just don't expect thetaco-style sandwich. This one comes with a mountain of meat and a pita cut into quarters with the tzatziki on the side, makingassembly a bit of a challenge, if not slightly messy. Still tastes great, though, and there's definitely more than enough foodto fill you up and leave you something for lunch the next day! I’m new to the Indy area and have been looking for a great place to grab some Greek food and I’ve found it! Greek Islands is... fantastic and you get quite a lot of food for your money. I tried the traditional ????? (gyro) my fiancé tried the ????????(spaghetti) and we both were super impressed. I was traveling through Indy for work and asked a friend where to he. He recommended this place. So I decided to stop and eat... lunch there. I tried the saganaki for appetizer and it was amazing! My first time here and eating at a Greek restaurant. The food was amazing, delicious and piping hot. The service was fantastic... and I would highly recommend you to go and try their food and hospitality. I had ordered tilapia with just the potatoes becauseI am a very picky eater but my sister ordered us some type of cheese that was flaming and it was delicious and I have never hadit before. Sorry, I can't remember the name of the flaming cheese. Lol it is a must go and try for yourself place because ofthe atmosphere alone and the food. Read more
I haven't had the pleasure of dining here in many years but I was so happy to see that the food was just as good as it was the... last time. I had the moussaka, my mom had the gyro platter and my brother had the spanakopita. Everyone's meals were perfect,3 different palates pleased, and the service was friendly and great as usual. Neither my mom or brother had eaten here beforebut both agreed the food was great and my mom declared this was the best Greek restaurant I had brought her to in Indianapolis. Read more
