Had it for the first time yesterday. Servings were so generous I had plenty leftover and just ate it for an early dinner. Hubby... and I ordered smothered chicken and I got the Mac and yams. He got green beans and greens. Everything was so good. But the bestpart was the AMAZING customer service. Such nice peope!!! The ONLY thing that wasn't excellent was the cornbread but maybe itwas just a bad batch. We will definitely be back now that we found this gem! Read more
My dad, Michelle and I wanted some home cooked foods and we found it at Circle City Soul Food. Dad had there catfish, sweet... potatoes n orka. Well he didn't even talk his food was so good. Michelle n I had their fried pork chop, collard greens, sweetpotatoes n Mac n cheese. The pork chops were juicey and tender; fried to perfection. The greens were well seasoned with spices nturkey meat, sweet potatoes were so tasty and not overly sweet n the Mac n cheese creamy n cheesy. Oh forgot the desserts, lemoncake and strawberries w/pound cake. Yummy ???? We will be returning to try other foods from their menu. Only open on Sundays,12noon-5pm. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! This is EXACTLY what we were looking for AND some !! People flock here for good reason!... Someone else picked up our catfish dinners and after they realized that, they remade our entire order so that everything wasfresh and hot and they brought desserts and drinks for the inconvenience and STILL asked if there was anything else they couldget the kids or us.. the owner came out to us him self. It really was a great experience and so family oriented. The customerservice is some of the best weve ever had and we go alot of places from neighborhood grills to the most upscale steak houses inthe city and this little humble place was one of the best yet!!!! I got the smothered pork chops with mashed potatoes and gravyand my boyfriend ordered the smothered chicken with greens and yams, the kids got the catfish and it was so good and I dont eatcatfish at all. It wasnt fishy at all and it was crispy and fresh. We will most definitely return.. They are only open ONSundays fyi. I'm sad that we can only go once a week ????????. Read more
