Ok. The good. The black cherry wine was awesome. The flavor of the steak and burger were awesome. The bad..... My husband... finished his first beer and set his bottle to the side of the table, see my attached photo. You can see two of the staff in thebackground just talking. Bartender with phone in hand. 10 minutes later, no 2nd drink. My husband ended up walking up to the barto get his own drink. It wasn't even busy. Besides us, one other table was occupied. The flavor of my husband's steak was greatbut contained a lot of fat and gristle. The "fries" were 5 huge potato wedges with enough salt to dehydrate a person for a week.On to my food. The flavor of the burger was great, no complaints. The macaroni and cheese was mediocre. It is more parmaseanbased but they used too much sprinkle canned parmasean as a garnish. Darkness was approaching outside as we got our check andthere wasn't much going on as for indoor lighting. My husband laughed at me as I got my phone out to use it to read my check.Then the waitress finally caught on and turned some lights on. We love trying new places and especially love to give business to locally owned, small businesses. We went to Trotters for my... husband's birthday. We all ordered the 12oz. NY steak and all ordered it medium rare. 2 out of 3 of us had the steak arrive asordered. The 3rd steak was over cooked (no pink at all). It was still palatable, but not cooked to the desired request. When itwas mentioned to the server, there was no response. No offer to make it right or even an apology. Overall the meal was good,but for the price, the steaks were quite fatty and the meal quality did not meet expectations. The sides were tasty and the menuoffers a nice variety for those looking for unique choices. Worth a try...may have just been an off day for the staff. Read more

Trotter's was very good. A few of my friends have had some mixed reviews over the last few months but that's when they were very... new and just getting rolling. They did everything right tonight. All the meals were very good, the service was very good theapps ( fried oysters and oysters rock) were great. I think the value is fair for Indiana PA.. it's probably on the higherspectrum of what we have here but that's what to be expected from a non-chain - owner operated restaurant. Read more

My boyfriend and I were really excited to come to this place as it had very good reviews. Sadly, the food was not very good at... all. My steak was cooked how I wanted it, but at least half of it was fatty. I thought I chewed on a bone the fat was so hard atone part.
