I would consider returning for appetizers and beer at some point, but not for dinner. Nice atmosphere and good service, and our... mushroom appetizer was yummy although it was listed as "breaded" and came to us "battered." I read the description of thegrilled chicken salad and for some reason ordered it anyway. When it came, it had tiny cubes of chicken, two small wedges oftomato, grilled onions and mushrooms and lots of lettuce. It was a disconcerting mix of sautéed and raw veggies. My husband'sstromboli was billed as having pepperoni but looked primarily like a grilled cheese sandwich cut in pie shapes. Someone fromhere should go to Brunzies down the street and order their stromboli. I understand places are short staffed right now, and maybethey are making do with someone who is not experienced. I can only speculate, and certainly two unsatisfactory entrees shouldnot damn the entire menu. I'm just suggesting avoiding the grilled chicken salad and pepperoni stromboli. But again, niceatmosphere and friendly, prompt service. Build from there. Read more
The exterior said little of what was inside. A limited menu and very few tap beers. The barmaid was more concerned about her... nails and cleaning out her eyes than taking orders and being cordial. Our server was pleasant, a redeeming quality because thefood was mediocre. We ordered a portobello sandwich and it was the smallest I have ever seen! I ordered a steak salad which hadchunks or chewy meat and fries that were soggy and barely cooked but still inedible. Very little to no dressing. Ordered a beer and it took fifteen minutes before they informed me they were out. Another ten minutes to get a Miller light. I... ordered a burger that was supposed to be served with Cole slaw and fries. I literally had to search for the Cole slaw. It washidden under the fries and was a a tablespoon worth.
