Reviews for Vue Grille & Bar in Indian Wells, CA
The food was mediocre and maybe 2-3 stars. It felt like a very tired menu and presentation. There were 5 adults and we tried... several different dishes and were unimpressed. $50 steak was a low quality, choice level cut. That said the service wasabsolutely horrific. The waitress only took our order after being flagged down after being seated for 15 minutes, then we waitedfor an hour after we ordered to receive our food. During that hour the waitress was literally nowhere to be found and when weflagged her down yet again she responded with “it’s on its way” . We considered leaving but we had two young kids who werebeyond miserable waiting an hour for chicken nuggets and fries. Now to top off everything, they made no apologies, didn’toffer any consideration like a dessert which I guess is fine. But they then they decided to add a mandatory 20% gratuity despitethe horrible service which they didn’t even disclose when they brought the check (which took 20 minutes to get btw). I waitedtables for 10 years so I’m very sensitive to the difficulties of restaurants and never leave bad reviews but this placedeserves it. Hopefully they can learn. Read more
Had the Waugh burger. It was delicious. I don’t recommend the ribs. They do not come on the bone. Service was really... slow. Other than that everything was good ???? Read more
I've eaten here twice. Neither experience was particularly good but this last one ended my visits for the future. If you sit on... the balcony the view is very nice, but the wind is generally so strong that unless it's a hot day people don't sit out there. Ican't tell you how many people have been warned off by the staff only to go outside to try it and then go back inside. Theinside tables are cheap square bland things with no tablecloth like you might find in an IHOP. We ordered and then waited foralmost exactly an hour. My waffle with berries was $19 and the waffle was small, cold, and there were no more than half a dozenberries with a tablespoon of English cream on top. It was terrible. Read more

My husband and I typically take a one week vacation in Palm Desert. Last summer, my husband, my father-in-law, and myself went... to the Desert on vacation. Unfortunately last summer, we had gone to the Vue and we noticed it had significantly fallen down. There weren’t three pace setups on our table. I had asked for place setups. We received our meal, however, those of us thatwere missing our setups didn’t receive them for a very long time. By the time we received our setups our food was cold. Theyused to have a great happy hour. Now, the happy hour isn’t really a happy hour. The menu said “shareable plates”. Neithermy husband or myself cared for the menu very much. Other than last summer, my husband and I have had excellent experiences atthe Vue. We decided not to dine there on our most recent vacation because of our experience last year and because of the menu.Evidently, things have changed negatively at The Vue Read more
Food generally good. Chicken tortilla soup was overcooked and dried out. Some people's sides came out cold and bland. Mediocre... service - had to flag them down to get spoon for soup and water refills. Wouldn't split checks by more than 2 people and we wereall from different companies. Never offered us dessert so we ended up leaving. Read more
One of the great spots we discovered in Indian Wells was this restaurant. It had all that we were looking for: high rating,... great location (near our hotel), great view, and Happy Hour! It is located in the Golf Resort, so it wad pretty fancy. We likedit here so much that we went there twice during our stay. Once we walked in to the building, there is a grand staircase thatleads to the restaurant. At the top of the stairs, there was a sign that said “Please Seat Yourself” so we walked in. Wewere greeted by a staff, and told us we can sit anywhere we want. It was a very large space with plenty of seating. Since itwas a gorgeous day, we decided to sit outside. The tables by the fences with the view - beautiful golf course with greenery andpalm trees - were large tables for six people. But since there were not many people there, the staffs had no problem with ustaking one of those large tables. We had some cocktails and beer while we were there, including Cheryl Bloody Mary which Iwould say was the Kind of the cocktails... It had shrimp, olives, peppers, chives, bacon, and pickled asparagus, all on onedrink! For food, we had Pulled Pork Sliders, Grilled Fish Tacos, Fried Monterey Calamari, and Saturday night special 12 ozPrime Rib. We also had some desserts, Signature House Made Sticky Coachella Date Cake, 6 Layer Chocolate Cake, and ClassicStrawberry Shortcake. Everything we had was pretty good, tasty, and satisfying. We really liked it here at Vue, great view, warm and friendly service, and good food & drinks. Great spot for a relaxing vacation! I would definitely recommend their HappyHour, great value for tasty treats! The desserts are great too, make sure you leave some room in your stomach for some sweets.Read my full review of the restaurant and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl. Read more
We lunched with picky family members from LA. Everyone enjoyed the luxurious atmosphere, the desert view, the elegant service... and of course delicious food. The menu had something to please everyone, and prices were reasonable considering the location. Ihope to be back. Read more
