I have been going here for years. It?s the kind of coffee shop where you walk in and immediately feel comfortable and greeted... with a smile. It feels like walking into a home. Lots of drink options besides coffee, if you are not a coffee drinker. Plentyof seating, and a board game/card game area. This place is definitely worth visiting. Read more
Try the "Monkey's Uncle" it's seasonal and it's deliciously on point. Here's a hint: like banana nut bread and espresso had a... baby and gave it to you in a your choice of a hot or iced cup. I am hugely disappointed! I tried to order from here on GrubHub because I thought they had nice alternative items you might not... get from some other places, a nice coffee selection with alternative cream/milk options and I would be supporting theIndependence Square; which is a bonus to me. The menu is truthfully very limited already; so one would think they woulddefinitely have those items DAILY. I guess not! I ordered 2 of just about 2/3 of the menu items they had on their menu. Only tobe called and told they don?t have the quiche, bagels, breakfast burritos, or muffins that I ordered. That is like 2/3 of youroptions and they don?t have them! I was flabbergasted. How can a place not have 2/3 of their entire menu! Then minutes later, Igot another call telling me the online prices are not even correct, and that they will not cover the difference in price! Thisturned from a great experience to a HUGE disappointment very quickly. I had to cancel my entire order. This WOULD have turnedinto a place i would order from often; had they actually had the offerings they list; especially at the prices listed. Instead,I am left feeling that I should not be surprised, because when I think back to the days I used to visit this place on thesquare, they never seemed to have anything on the menu then either. I guess I should have remembered that and known betterconsidering past history. The days of great customer service and pride in your offerings are clearly in the distant past. I lovesupporting the square but this might not be on that list anymore. One time too many I have been disappointed with theirofferings (other than coffee). Great coffee selection, but when I enjoy a coffee; it is usually to accompany great pastry orfood. A great coffee shop always makes sure it has things to nosh on?not just coffee. I ordered a decaf and they gave me a a caffeinated coffee. I was up all night because I?m very sensitive to caffeine. The coffee... was also terrible. It just tasted like milk and sugar. I?m starting to think people pay for the atmosphere and not the coffee.??????????? They definitely need a better system if they can?t remember a simple decaf coffee order. It was pretty chaotic ingeneral. The place was somewhat busy and the barista was just yelling out coffee orders . Customers didn?t seem sure whichcoffee was theirs since multiple people had the same order. It wouldn?t take any extra time to just take down the person?s name. Read more
