It pains me to place 3 stars because normally I LOVE this place. I ordered take out today and the food this time wasn’t as... good. I places pics to compare. The first 3 being the take out I had today vs when I dine in.\nIn the take out the fooddidn’t have as much sauce as when I dined in. Second the balsamic sauce was missing from what I ordered and the lasagna wasover cooked.\n\nThe pics I place of when I dine in was very good . Full of flavor and probably the best pasta I have in I.B.Which is why it disappoints me that the take out I had today wasn’t as good. I really hope next time when I order again itwill be good because I really love the food you guys make but today was just a disappointment.\n\nUpdate: change review to4stars. Absolutely delicious! My partner who lived in Rome for years thought that it tasted very authentic. I loved my Bolognese and we... also had the lunch pizza, a large speciality pizza and a hibiscus champagne. All of it was just fantastic and i can not wait togo back and try more! Read more

Great food, great service! Was able to practice speaking the little bit of Italian that I know with the waiter. Very welcoming... feeling and friendly staff! The chef came out to greet everyone. This remarkable Italian restaurant had an authentic feel in comparison to Italy. My husband for the lunch special of personal... pizza with side salad ???? the house dressing was fresh, tasty and flavorful. The food was amazingly delicious and rosé winewas a spectacular choice from our server. My favorite dish was the chicken with fettuccini pasta. A new hidden gem in Imperial Beach. Balsamico Italian Kitchen is one of my new faves in this bustling little beach town. The... food is delicious and prepared with all the fresh homemade goodness one would wish for in Italian dishes! The atmosphere isrelaxing and unrushed. Definitely real, delicious, authentic Italian food! I ordered the gnocchi with pink sauce, which had wonderful texture, and the... sauce itself was rich and creamy with a hint of sweetness. My server, who was very professional and courteous, told me the sauceis a specialty from their home in Italy. After my meal I was offered a shot of espresso, which is made on an Italian espressomachine with lavazza beans, and let me tell you— what a perfect way to finish off my lunch!
