Trendy, artistic and casual dining scene serving top notch food. Perfect place to devour Bao buns before moving on to a ramen or... noodle bowl. I ordered the wagyu beef ramen - the beef melts in your mouth and works perfectly with the broth and udon noodles.Be sure to book a table in advance and turn up hungry because you will want to try everything! Loved the food at Toki Underground. They offer vegetarian options as well, which is what we ordered. The Pan fried dumplings had... a little tough edges(not on the fried side, off course) but otherwise it was good. Loved their Cauliflower buns. It’sdefinitely a snug place that will have a wait time of 90+ minutes. Read more

The place was small but the atmosphere was fun. The food was incredible and was served extremely quick. I can't say enough about... how great the staff was, our waiter even ran out to catch me as I had left my bag there. This is a must visit whether you're alocal or a tourist. (Just make sure to have a reservation) Read more

Toki is one of the first really popular ramen spots in DC, before ramen really blew up. The decor and ambiance is really unique,... though it results in a somewhat small space. Everything tasted great. I tried their Wagyu beef cheek udon which was veryinteresting and tasted great. The beef cheek melts in your mouth with flavor. But the “broth” is much thicker than normalramen so it’s not as enjoyable to drink. I’d probably opt for regular ramen next time but I liked trying somethingdifferent, no regrets. Auto 18% gratuity was added just for a party of 2, but no complaints as service was really great allaround. Read more

Delicious noodles and fun vibes! I loved both the Dan Dan and Mazeman noodles. Affordable price for such high quality... ingredients. Stickers covering the counters create a fun atmosphere. I would definitely recommend making a reservation, thesmall space fills up quickly. Can’t wait to come back! Read more

Delicious! Vegan options available (vegan dumplings) and also amazing cauliflower bao. We also ordered the full chicken bao and... the chicken thigh in eel sauce-- both amazing. Both bao had good spice and left your lips a little tingly. The chicken thigh wascooked so well and the skin made it taste like it was wrapped in bacon??? We got takeout and it was still good when it got home. Can't wait to go back!! Read more

Absolutely delicious and such a cool vibe inside! I had the Toki Classic and highly recommend! The place is upstairs and small,... so you’re sitting close next to other people along the edge of the room and there is alway late 2000s music playing!Definitely a great date spot, might not be great for more than two people. Make a reservation ahead of time. A must visit placefor Ramen in DC!! Read more

Great place, great service, and delicious food. It's very tight and seating is limited, so there's a time limit on your visit.... My friend, who visited Japan, noted the food was authentic and so was the vibe, for the most part. One thing that I didn't likewas the volume of the music. In such a tiny place, it felt more like a club than a dinner spot. And if you don't like rap, youmight not enjoy your time there. Read more
