I visited Pizzeria Paradiso in Hyattsville after a long bike ride, and I was hungry. I ordered the Bosco pizza and added lamb... meatballs. This pizza hit the spot! I got the Macellaio Pizza with mushrooms added. Unfortunately, not what I expected given the reviews. The crust was over baked... and a bit too hard for my liking and it left a weird aftertaste and there was barely any sauce, so the pizza was extremely dry.The parking is not the best either, but that's just what comes with that neighborhood. The positives are that the toppings werefresh and the staff was friendly, but for $30 for a 12" inch pizza I could have gotten better pizza from elsewhere. I won't beback. Read more
This place is very relaxing, specially on Fridays after a long week of work, I come to this place with my wife and my little... one, the pizza is delicious, the atmosphere is relaxing, I recommend getting a outdoor table on week days you can watch thetrains passing by across the street, the beer selection is also very good, I love it I tried to visit whenever possible! I have read some of the reviews before I ordered and thought I was in for a real treat. I love italian food and often go to... Filomena's in Georgetown, so I was excited to have a more authentic italian experience closer to my house. This wasnt what I washoping for. We ordered the antipasti and recieved 1 whole cherry pepper, ricotta cheese, and prosciutto. Then the pizzagenerally the prosciutto when put on a pizza it is cut so that its easier to eat. The other issue is that the pizza was flat ithad no finish, perhaps they should consider finishing it with some balsamic. The final insult is that I ordered a coke and got adiet coke. Love this spot. Good pizza, good beer, and good people/staff. Has a very local-friendly vibe and runs specials for folks that... live nearby. Gretchen, Jordan, and Sam are always very accommodating and nice to talk with. When the weather is nice thislocation opens up the garage-style door and window wall and has a really nice cross breeze. I've been to their sister Dupont location and this one does not disappoint. Food here is fresh and comes out rather quickly.... Happy hour is only Tuesday and Wednesdays from 4-7. Pizza was delicious with interesting topping options and combinations, a good beer list with lots of craft options, a ton of... local liquors on offer, and some of the best service I've ever received. Cannot recommend this place enough, definitely going tobe our go to pizza spot. Read more
