Delicious food, Black owned, and holds customer appreciation days where they give a small plate for free with the purchase of a... drink (pictured)! Jerk at night definitely used to be better. I'm sure they will get back on track soon though. This used to be the go to back in... the day though. The flavors seem to be toned down now, no kick, no heat just very mild. Not sure if there were complaints aboutthe heat in the past. I'll give it a month or two and try again. Read more
While attending a show next door at Echostage. I walked two doors down and ordered the Oxtails (pictured below). The meat was... falling off of the bones, which is what I LOVE!!! Portion size was great for the price. A bit spicy, but I wouldn?t change theseasoning at ALL. Thank you for preparing such an amazing meal. Read more
I would NEVER recommend this place. 13$ for this plate of mush and the taste was basic af. However, I also got the jerk and Mac... box. The mac and cheese was good and the jerk chicken in that box was way better. But still not worth the price and the wait toeat. So many other options in the DMV that are way better! The quality of the Rasta Pasta has diminished significantly upon my last visit. Spending $40 on watery pasta and half baked beef... patties after being a repeat customer is disappointing. Maybe it was an off day, but if there was a recipe change, please goback! The flavors and creaminess of the pasta were missing BADLY. Read more
Saw this place on tiktok and happened to be in DC and decided to try it since it seemed Jamaican with a twist. We got the jerk... tacos and Jerk wings. The tacos were different but tasted pretty good. The wings were really good too, in my opinion theyneeded to be more smoked (needed a smoky jerk flavor) but the sauce was very savory and made up for it. The mac and cheese wasA1, cabbage wasn?t very traditional in terms of what I?m used to but it could pass. The rice and peas was lacking coconutflavor. Food is fire. Flavor on chicken oxtail mac n cheese and rice is not comparable to anything, its just that good. Came in with a... tiktok picture and they made the dish I wanted 11 times better than what it looked like on tiktok. Staff is so nice and sweettoo. Definitely go here. Read more
