Food is very good but only one fault I can never get to place an order,on the phone the phone is never answered when I call. I... have to drive there and then sometimes when I get there they don't have what I want if could get someone on the phone could saveme a trip and my fish is is made to order soo instead of my food ready when I get there I have to place my order then wait. The heavy set (not to be rude) Jamaican female cashier that is their on Saturday is very very rude..she has no manners, yells... at customers, and is very disrespectful..I was told by her ?I am about to loose my job? why because I was not sure about myorder. Customer service needs a lot of improvement. The prices go up every few months, they run out of food, and the food is not... flavorful anymore. The rice and peas are never cooked well done. OMG, the best Jamaican food I have had in years. My son gave a friend a ride home and smelled the food. The next day he went... back and got us the fish. The best Jamaican fish that I have ever had, bar none. Don't listen to the negative reviews, thisplace is amazing. I don't eat out often, and used to go to Pimento's, their food is horrible now. Not sure who they have in thekitchen, but because the food was so bad, I stopped eating out period. Gee's fish and veggies have me salivating whenever Ithink about it. I've got to try and figure out how to add them to my budget. I've got to eat here at least twice a week now. I have an update. I went back 2 weeks after I originally went to g's and I was very disappointed. I had the fish again it was assmall as the palm of my hand and they didn't give me the vegetables that go on top of the fish. My sister got the jerk chickenand it wasn't jerked it was barbecue just like every other Jamaican restaurant that you go to in this area. A true hidden gem, tucked away among the warehouses of a local industrial area. The food was simply delicious! Generous portions... too - a "combo" includes two meats, rice & peas, and steamed veggies. I had the oxtail and curry goat; both fantastic. Value formoney, and friendly service too. Well I went off of the reviews before ordering. So I thought this was going to be like eating from the jerk spot in Lilliput, Mo... Bay. But nope. It was no jerk sauce on top of the chicken, just poured in between the rice and chicken. I asked for extrasauce and that was completely overlooked. But because the sauce isn't on the chicken it's wasted flavors. But the cocoa bread isfresh. And the food is too. Just need some more sauce, flavor. Read more
If your feeling for some jerk chicken on the Sauce side this is the spot. The rice and peas is cooked to perfection. Feeling... like Granny, Mommy and Aunty cooked it. The chicken soup is 100% satisfaction guaranteed. It has everything you need to getyour strength up like a (BULL). I'm Sad to say, you should stay far from the curry goat. Its not up par.
