I travel the I-5 often and stumbled upon thisestablishment a few moths ago. It had become my regular destination and I have eater here on five previous occasions, but todaywas my LAST. While every other employee of this shared food court was wearing masks, El Sabroso Mexican Grill and Seafood hasdifferent standards. Apparently, the potential of spreading disease is not of concern as the woman who was preparing my orderINCHES away from her MASKLESS face. As she was in the process of building my burrito, I asked her if it was acceptable toprepare food maskless and her answer was it was absolutely fine. Happened upon this place a couple of years ago on our way to Southern California and it's become a "must stop" spot for me. I... love their burritos - everything about it is delicious! From the steak to the rice and beans, it's perfect. During this pastweekend's trip, I made sure to stop on the way to Los Angeles and back. Yes, for me, their burritos are that good! El Sabrosois located in a truck stop/gas station/fast food exit right off of I-5; exit 319 for Avenal, to be exact. Besides El Sabrosothere's a Subway, Little Caesars and a convenience store, and there are gas pumps for both big rigs (one one side) and cars onthe other side. While I am not looking forward to another road trip to Southern California, stopping at El Sabroso makes itbetter. Read more

I was driving up North after my Fall break and stopped by to pump gas and saw the sign of Subway and decided to stop by. The... line to order a Subway had a total of 13 people. I decided to give this restaurant a try. The lady at the cash register was sofriendly, patient, and provided superb customer service. I took about 2 minutes to decide on what to order and the lady happilytook my order. The lady asked me if I wanted hot sauce to go and I said , "yes please." The lady and I chatted a bit and off Iwent. I ate my burrito along with the hot sauces that were actually savory and good. The burrito was flavorful and just plaingoodness. Food is excellent here ..24hrs. Lots of semi parking ..showers only $8 ..clean

This place reminds me of my favorite place in my home town in Utah. Food was great! The hostess who took my order was very... polite and caring. She explained what all came with what. The food was cooked excellent, props to the chef behind the grill, Igot my order to go, I had the 2 chille rellenos with ride and beans (My favorite Mexican dish.) I wish I had more room in mystomach to go back and get more. Very good place. I will be stopping here again when I drive through. Read more

For us truckers this was a must stop to eat when it was under different management a couple of years back. The new management... cleaned up the place, stopped giving chips with the meals, raised prices, switched from home cooked type beans to can beans,from great tasting fluffy rice to hard overcooked rice, the only thing I enjoyed from my shrimp fajitas was the shrimp fajitas,the shrimp and veggies were fresh and tasty and that's the 2 stars for. I hope this helps the new management to improve theircooking and make their overpriced menu items worth it. Maybe I will be back one day to check if they have improved. Read more

I ordered a chicken super nacho. So good and heavy! I like that they have a salsa bar. I piled on the habanero salsa!
