Salty Nut Brewery is one of my favorite in Huntsville. The selection is small but has all categories covered. I?m particularly... fond of their Hefeweizen, Brown Ale and their Blond Ale. It?s a Hefeweizen you?d find in Munich. Service is always good, hasgames and a Biergarten. I wish their Hefeweizen was more widely available it?s one of my favorites. Salty Nut is a staple brewery in Huntsville. They have been around just as long as the big names but they just don't have that... big brewery energy and that's a good thing really. Go to Salty Nut when you want a low key place to hang out. It's never overlycrowded and even when there is a lot of people there it never has that overwhelming feel to it. The beertenders are always niceand friendly. They have a good amount of taps that they rotate often. You aren't going to find the selection you'll find atStraight To Ale or Yellowhammer and it's a good thing. Sometimes less is more and that's what's most appealing about Salty Nut.The beer is always excellent. Their true quality lies in their beer. They also have an excellent outside area you would notguess by seeing the front of the building. The last time I sat outisde I had a lot of fun watching a pigeon family raise theirbaby. (Lol, nothing like drinking and bird watching.) They have a lot of seating and space outside. They now offer a few oftheir beers in cans. Also, they stay open later than other breweries. Absolutely delicious beer and friendly staff! Salty Nut is the hidden beer gem of Huntsville. We tried a number of breweries... during our visit and thus was our absolute favorite. The atmosphere was chill and really felt like a hometown brewery anddidn't have that over-commercialized hipster vibe that other places had. We conversed with other patrons and the staff gettingsuggestions on other places to visit in the area. It was exact the type of experience that we like to have with a brewery.Friendly, delicious and that feeling of "home". Salty Nut is a must stop in Huntsville! Read more
Quite the variety of beer. One of our go-to local breweries, very laid back atmosphere with wonderful outdoor space for the... warmer days. They have a variety of board games to play, which is always fun when you're drinking beer. I normally am hereduring the week days, and it's fairly quiet so I see it as a great place to relax. On some nights they have different foodtrucks parked out front. Read more
