The food was great and the drink I got was reasonably priced and of decent strength. The vibe of this place is unique and hard... to describe. We saw drinks being served in spam cans but it’s also a tiki bar but it is also Asian inspired? Was a great timeand everything was good. I would recommend you go and try to figure out what this place is for yourselves. Read more

The food is absolutely fantastic at Phat Sammy's! So tasty and delicious. I didn't drink but my wife loved every tiki drink she... had! The "Buddha's Delight" sandwich is one of the best vegetarian sandwiches I've ever had. It is Tempeh in a Banh Mi style. Sotasty and good! Read more

I'd like to give this place another shot. The food has real potential. The Good: Super original food items. Think Asian /... island fare fusion with extra spices. Love it. Drinks are similar. The Meh: No sound deadening so it can be pretty hard to hearyour own thoughts of any tables are particularly loud. Menu is small but what is on there seems well thought out. TheBad: While the service was very nice they were *severely* understaffed and slow. Read more

First, the food: decent, but not amazing. Had the octopus, pork belly, and fried oyster steam buns. Pork belly was cooked to... consistency of pork chop: confusing. Octopus was exceptional. Steam buns were just salty and bit one note. My expectations werehigher. Drinks were good and bartenders were helpful. No complaints there. Service was good. Atmosphere just wasn’t quitemy jam. You can only make a basement bar/restaurant so festive. Points for trying but the tiki vibe didn’t really come throughfor me. It felt a little like a weird dream. The sum of the parts did result in a good energy, and I’d go back, but not likeevery week. In summary, this place is hard to put your finger on: random, quirky, and likely worth a try. Read more
