Family-owned and operated Mexican place on Jordan Lane between Holmes and the interstate exit. I have eaten here many times and... have never had a bad experience or any bad food. Absolutely solid Mexican food. As an Alabamian born in California, it's hard to find Mexican food that compares good, but La... Alameda does it quite well. With the option of a buffet, full bar, and great imports on draft, it's hard to go wrong here. Ihighly recommend La Alameda for anyone looking for a great Mexican restaurant and dining experience. Outside the door it said menu prices are not accurate due to demand. Just change the prices on the menu, how hard is that. Food... was disgusting. We had a male waiter and he was very rude. The older lady behind the buffet counter was rude as well slammingthe plates. The buffet don?t have any labels so you don?t know what you getting unless you ask. Our taco shell was stale, thefood was so damn bad and we told him that then he said we can?t do anything about it. The owner is about as ignorant as him. Theowner gone say ?we don?t have any problems with our food?, I had to leave before I said anything else. Do not come here. Pleasantly Surprised!! During our travels, we found this little place. At first we were a bit skeptical of this Mexican Buffet,... but wow I am glad we went. The ambiance was fun and lively. Went for Sunday brunch with a friend. The food was decent, the staff was friendly and responsive, and the prices were very... reasonable. The Margarita was pretty darn good too. I suggest having only 1 if you intend to walk out under your own steam. Andas always, have a designated driver! Read more
