Reviews for Chuy's in Huntsville, AL
Good food. I am not a fan of their salsa and such, but my friends liked them. Good service. Great patio! Interesting decor. Fair... price (except for tea/sodas). Great location. Busy but not full, usually. Read more
While visiting friends in Huntsville, my wife was thrilled to find Chuy's had come to town! Years ago she went to one and had an... amazing dining experience. The place looks awesome with cool decorations, something to see wherever you happen to be looking. The sound of classic rock was playing throughout the restaurant! Walking in the front door you'll find some Chuy's merch forsale. My wife picked up a cool Nightmare before TexMex T-shirt! Chips and salsa were brought to the table immediately afterbeing seated. The chips were warm and freshly made. The salsa was a tad spicy, but the creamy jalapeno dip was nothing short ofamazing! We took home a 64 Oz container it was that good! For drinks, I ordered a grande house margarita on the rocks with salton the rim. Typically in an $11 grande Margarita is ordered I get a very big drink. I was shocked when I got a plastic cup thatheld no more than 10 oz of a truly awful margarita. All I could taste was lime juice and salt. It was very little salt on therim of the cup because most of it was inside. When I asked my server if this was indeed the large she said it was. Buyerbeware. For my entree, I ordered the Chuychunga which was their version of a chimichanga. The description is listed as a flourtortilla filled with roasted chicken, cheese, cilantro, and green chilies deep fried and served with one of their signaturesauces. For my sauce, I chose Tex-Mex, their homemade red chili sauce made from scratch chili con carne. The entree was alsoserved with refried beans rice and a dollop of cream cheese and a couple of shreds of lettuce. I love a good chimichanga, andthis was not one. The chicken was dry and overcooked, with no cheese or green chilies apparent, and the sauce wasn't coveringthe deep-fried burrito. The beans were tasty as long as you didn't look at them. They had the appearance of some sort of animalexcrement. The rice was dry and unremarkable. A quick survey amongst everyone in our dinner party and Read more
3 Roasted chicken tacos in crunchy shells were so dry. No sauce. Had to order and pay extra for sour cream and guacamole. Drank... water. The waiter was too busy to give us napkins. Very disappointed. Not worth the money. Read more
The food is pretty great. Friendly staff and service was perfect for us. They have great prices for the amount of food you get.... We will be back. I will say, the spice level is higher than the normal Americanized Mexican restaurant. So proceed with cautionif you don't like spice at all. Read more
My daughter and I ordered the fajitas-we had our own buffet! We also ordered the cheese dip, not my favorite queso dip but it... was still good. I also had a margarita during happy hour so I was happy ???? Read more

This was my first time eating at Chuy's but definitely not my last. The portions were plentiful to satisfy your appetite, I... walked away with leftovers. The food itself was seasoned great, it was very flavorful. The decor was nice, it was a greatattempt at being authentic. I will definitely look for other franchises and definitely eat there when I am in town. Read more
